Really sad. They're the unsung characters around a racetrack given they volunteer to clean up and look after well sponsored teams and drivers.

A freak accident however with any situation like this, I hope they can find ways to make sure this kind of incident again.

Some crash in the Spa 24 hours; its good that they're putting a gravel trap back in at the top of the hill after the the fatal F2 crash in 2019 but I'm not sure even that would have prevented the accident that happened on Sat/Sunday

Williams have let Ticktum go from their academy.

Apparently he was talking smack about Latifi on Twitch, wonder whether that had anything to do with it? It's a pity really, Dan clearly has talent but his inability to behave has ruined his career.

Edit: Apparently not, it had already happened but hadn't yet been announced. I guess his childish comments were just his post sacking strop.

McLaren are taking a 75% stake in the Arrow McLaren SP IndyCar team from the end of the year and likely to run a 3rd car; rumoured that Magnussen and Grosjean are on what's a "very short" list.

I doubt he will be cleared to race with a cracked vertebrae tbh.

I'd have thought it'd have healed enough that he would be able to race by then, I guess it depends how serious the break is. I know MotoGP riders have competed with fractured vertebrae before but they are another kind of nuts.

MotoGP riders are absolute lunatics but sadly FIM medics who decide if someone is fit to ride or not aren't fit to do the job.

Lorenzo Savadori was declared to take the restart at the Styrian GP this weekend just gone despite him having a broken ankle.
