This has been rumbling on for ages hasn't it? Doubt anybody cares that much all this time later.
I suppose most fans won't be bothered, but for true aficionados it is the zenith of F1 car designs and still the most successful of all time. That legacy will be important to those who created it and rightly so.

Strange why that was cancelled but it was ok to have way more people come in to the country for the Olympics.

There was a lot of public disagreement with the Olympics, and there's been a rise in cases since. The GP probably would have gone ahead if it were before the Olympics but things have changed now.

Not really. They would have taken serious pain if they'd postponed the Games again. Comparatively few people are going to give half a solitary **** about the F1 race getting cancelled.

24 Hours of Le Mans is starting now, if anyone cares. Freeview coverage on Quest, other channels may well be carrying it. Or maybe not, given the lack of promotion. Who knows?

Seems to be the potential for a race at Indianapolis this year rather than two at COTA if they can work out the quarantine logistics, etc; apparently Qatar is indeed on the cards to replace Australia as well...

Current snag to Indianapolis replacing Japan - report | PlanetF1

I wouldn't mind a night race in Qtar and a day race at Indy. If the Michelin tires couldn't handle the diamond cut surface (all tracks should have this IMO) and banking then the Pirellis will be lol-worthy.
