That might give some interesting racing for the sprint without it affecting the main championship in any way whatsoever.
That’s dumb. If you want a sideshow then watch F2 and the other races. It’s like tacking on a penalty shootout to a football game just because you can. Everyone is there for the game, the match that actually matters. Sprint needs to die a death, and as for those aero suggestions… jeez louise

Makes sense - in reality should have happened / started a number of years ago:

Formula One has confirmed its commitment to introducing a regionalised calendar in future seasons. As part of its goal of reaching net zero carbon by 2030 the sport will attempt to rationalise a calendar that is currently inefficient and detrimental in its environmental impact.

It seems Romain Grosjean has been signed as a Lamborghini LMDH works driver. I can only assume that the dates don't impact his Indycar schedule.

You people just don't understand. The benefits of sprint races, there's just too many to list.
You get to see all your favourite drivers racing to the maximum, even more than with the horrifically long calendar we have now.
You never know what's going to happen. With teams being mindful of their cars for the actual race, literally anyone* could win.
The ginger-headed stepchild that is qualifying has always been hated by all who don't watch F1. Now it can seem even less relevant. [/FIA]

I am in favour of reverse grid qualifying. No, not that one, I mean everyone has to do one full lap in reverse in qualifying, and the fastest time is at the front of the grid. Imagine that.

I suspect Capito has something lined up rather than retirement, seems to love being involved in the sport and never gave any hint of "retirement".
Possible replacement for the expected Ferrari bound Vasseur at Sauber, well known to Audi via his VW links and was on the board at Sauber at one point as well.

Not sure about that as Jost clearly postponed his planned retirement to take on the challenge at Williams...
