Maybe. One lap out behind the safety car then away. It’s not unusual for the car in second to leapfrog the lead. Plus it’s Indy, slipstreaming is very common.
Each restart the 3rd place car on restart has got the lead, Ferrucci would have been leading then if the crash didnt happen, though he was on the outside so could have changed again.
 
I’ve done the F1 at Indy in 2001, I would like to experience the Indy 500 first hand.
Might want to get your name on the waiting list. Spent a few years living in the states and did the F1 at Austin, Nascar at Talladega and Daytona but the Indy 500 always escaped me. The initial cost was huge after the waiting list and the resell cost was even worse.

Will raise a debate between the racing purists who would have accepted the race finishing under yellow and the need to finish under green at all costs.
