I suspect Red Bull already have Lawson under contract for next season so know he's not able to "do an Albon" - perhaps a year as a reserve won't do him any harm - he wasn't at that many races early in the season when it clashed with his Super Formula committments

Massa to potentially launch a legal action over the outcome of the 2008 WDC. Absolutely bonkers.
Potentially? He already did launch legal action a while ago now. I don't see the point of it because even if Alonso did get disqualified, that would put Hamilton even further ahead of Massa. For some bizarre reason he thinks the race should have been annulled even though there was nothing in the rules to allow for that and no precedent for it. The safety car was the same as any other safety car, it didn't force him to drive off with the fuel hose.

Also found it really odd when Massa called out Hamilton asking for his support because he's always defended "sporting integrity", if Massa cared about sporting integrity then surely he would be in support of reinstating Hamilton's win at Spa 2008, in which case Hamilton remains champ even if Singapore 2008 is annulled.

That is a good summary, but I think the point is that Bernie, Mosley et al knew about it and did nothing, a bit like AD 21.
I hope he wins tbh, although he’ll become a pariah in the paddock whereas Briatore is welcome.
I am a Hamilton fan and want him to keep that championship btw, but I would rather the right thing is done whatever that is.

I don't see that getting proved in court, though. With Bernie having memory issues and the others already in the ground.
lol Bernie’s memory issues are for tax purposes only. If the others are dead then maybe we can have a proper transparent analysis and conclusion. The rules in place at the time are still available, maybe Alonso can say he new nothing about it a few more times or maybe there is evidence he did.

I don’t know enough about the Massa stuff apart from if he were to win it seems unclear what the “right” action would be to make it right (annulling the race etc). If he “wins” but they do something which means Hamilton still gets the title - it’d be funny for Mercedes to then take that precedent and go after AD21 :p

How is it a bit like AD 21? Two completely different situations. One is another team cheating which ultimately didn't affect the title result because there is no rule to allow a whole race to be annulled (nor should there be), the correct action (disqualification) would put Hamilton even further ahead. The other was actual multiple rule breaks by the race director to set up a scripted finish which definitely changed the championship result.

Imagine if Massa wins, enjoys his title for a few years, then when Hamilton retires he takes legal action over Spa 2008 and AD 2021 to get them back. :D

Silverstone F1 camping tickets were released this morning, anyone sat in the queue?

Camping early access to tickets was released today :) Booked for me and my son to attend. He's F1 mad and never been to a race before, my last visit was 10+ years ago.

No demand-based pricing this year (at least for general admission).

Now I have to wait quietly until his birthday in January to tell anyone...

Lando until end of the season in 2025 too. Now they just need to start with a good car and see the both of them on the podium and ready to pounce if Red Bull slip up.

Yeh Norris and Piastri is a really solid line up.

They are still going to face stiff competition from Mercedes and Ferrari though (before even thinking about approaching Red Bull levels).

A lot feeling Lawson is hard done by, but I’m sure his chance will come.
Definitely put himself on the map with his performances anyway

I think both DR and Yuki are clearly better. Lawson has been decent, especially with such little preparation but he's not done enough to force one of the others out.

RB will also have lots of extra data to go on. The problem now is the number of RB junior drivers coming through in the next few years.
