Gosh they really are turning this season into the most boring one ever aren't they. Not even cost caps to argue about anymore?! :p

It's ok, RB are still reaping the rewards of the extra sandwiches going into the first year of the new regs ;)
Could've given Merc an extra 10mil and they still wouldn't have had sidepods at the first race.

Booooooo now what do we get to argue about?

I'm somewhat surprised though as I can't imagine any team leaving much money on the table and given how much confusion there seemed to be last year over whether some things should or shouldn't be counted in the cap.

It's not great, but it's hilarious they were all caught so quickly.
Lets rob this professional athlete, who drives for the most prestigious car maker in the country, whilst he's with this person that trains him. We'll definitely get away on foot. :D

I can't believe Sainz caught one very reckless but it does make him a...

...Smooth perp detainer

Definitely, they should be better this year. I'm just surprised there wasn't one, or more, teams that cocked it up somehow still.

I imagine most teams played it safe and stayed a reasonable % under, another shame about something like the cost cap in the pinnacle of engineering and motorsport. Albeit, that does make the Red Bull car even more impressive, given the budget restrictions and their previous penalties etc.

It's really an evolution of last years car which was also amazing. They had a great concept that they could refine so didn't need to spend an awful lot and by the time the 'punishment' was given they'd likely already settled on the general design of this years car and it was really just marginal improvements.

Be honest. You're mostly saying that because you don't want to have to moderate years of petty sniping over it, aren't you? :D
I think that's going to still happen anyway, just not about 2022.

On an un-related matter, I wonder what the odds are of Max retiring after this season? He said in an interview this week he's not bothered about winning 7 titles, would like a break from the travel, etc.? Wonder if he'll just do three titles or maybe 4 (assuming RB remain on top)?

4 would equal Prost and Vettel and be joint 4th most ever wins. There's always a chance someone will do more than 7/8 in the future as drivers start so young.

Can’t see him leaving tbh, it’s all just words.

Doubt it. He loves racing and having the best car on the grid is probably a dream for most drivers. Basically drive it until the wheels fall off.

Would also take RB a while to find someone else, but I could see Norris cutting ties very quickly if RB offered to buy his contract out.

I mean, it has always been obvious that Marko is a piece of **** human , and this bleeds into the ethos of the whole of the team...but wow

"Let's remember that he is South American and so his head is not as focused as Max Verstappen or as Sebastian Vettel was, but racing is his forte and he had a very good race.

As a general rule I just assume the F1 media is misreporting a bad translation whenever it seems that someone has said something awful and the source isn't in English. But, nope, that's an accurate enough translation.

Oh dear.
