Part of me wonders if it's just Hanlon's razor that it's not malice, just ignorance of Geography and thinking Mexico is a Hispanic country so must be South America. But given previous comments Helmut's made, I'd lean more heavily to malice. Or at best malice and ignorance.

Though the media seem to be focus on him calling Perez South American, when he's not, rather than his odd generalisation of all South American's apparently being unfocused.

Given what he's said in the past, is anyone really surprised by that?
Nobody is surprised. He really is a tool. People really should be taking RB to task over this. It's an insane thing to say for someone at the upper echelons of a public-facing company and get away with it. Horner shouldn't be able to laugh this off as "oh yeah he's a PR nightmare lols" like he has previously.

Indeed.

From reading about it earlier, it’s an Italian incentive to get skilled workers working in Italy with some suggestions it was really brought it for their football teams. Though with teams in different countries, with various tax rates and other schemes, surely there’s always going to be some discrepancy so it’s a non-story.

Anyone watching the Goodwood Revival stream on YT? Only practice sessions and it's already more exciting than a whole season of modern F1

Had it’s on in the background between calls. It’s always great seeing so many classics driven properly. Given how the weather has turned out, I’m gutted I didn’t go this year.

Media reporting that AlphaTauri will announce Tsunoda and Ricciardo for 2024 at Suzuka, bit of a snub for Lawson..... although gives them the option of binning Perez mid next season I suppose....
I can't see Lawson being "loaned" out in the same way Albon was - given his performance he's clearly next in line for an F1 seat from the RB stable.... surely....

Or even Tsunoda or Ricciardo if they don't have a strong start to the season.

Possibly a blessing in disguise, in that he can continue in the background as 3rd driver, do some more practice/test sessions etc to build some more experience, as opposed to going in the car next season, underdelivering and being spat out of the RB Meat Grinder half way through the season.
