Excellent. But also kind of mad when you look at the F2 standings.

Yeah its fair to say that Prema have had an awful season, Bearman I suspect has been unsettled after his F1 foray in Saudi, he's started to look better over the last couple of weekends, Antonelli struggling with the car as well a lot of the time - Prema just haven't got to grips with the new F2 car's at all this year.

Rumoured that Toyota are going to partner with Haas from next year in a similar setup to what Alfa Romeo had with Sauber.
Also suggested though that Toyota will assist with car development and provide use of their wind tunnel facilities in Cologne ahead of possibly coming back as an engine supplier later.

Can only be good for Haas to get that kind of money and expertise in the door.

Given Toyota's last foray into F1, are you really sure their expertise is worth it?

Yeah, they've done well in WEC, but that really doesn't corelate.

I think their sheer motorsport expertise has to be worth something to Haas, access to engineering and technical resource that Haas just don't have (remember Haas don't currently build their own car, Dallara do)

Looks like Newey to Ferrari is looking rocky, according to the BBC F1 team.

Newey was asked in an interview with BBC Sport last November which driver he most wished he had worked with, and he actually named Fernando Alonso, although I believe he has expressed similar sentiments about Hamilton.

As for design chief Newey’s future following his decision to leave Red Bull, the word is that the chances of him moving to Ferrari have receded significantly.

Sources close to Ferrari have told BBC Sport that chief executive officer Benedetto Vigna has baulked at the level of salary Newey commands and that there is a concern he would have too much power and could override the system inside the company.

Senior sources in the sport say that Newey is actively engaged with Aston Martin at the moment, and that this is looking his most likely destination. McLaren remain another possibility.
