Williams put out an nice video on the rebuilding of the cars after Brazil:

Thanks for sharing! Interesting watch - how many millions of ££ of damaged parts in that box as they were unpacking it!

Great to see this sort of thing shared as find it fascinating and not often made public the process it goes through.

Totally agree. Hats off to the team for that, both those working on the car and those documenting and sharing what is usually quite a secretive world.

Interesting to hear him say potentially they'll be in a better state in Vegas than arriving at Brazil. Shows crashing during a triple header it can really have an impact.

Interesting video, good on them for posting such good BTS. I did laugh when right at the end the Chief MEchanic is doing his bit to camera and the same guys behind him troop one way holding something, then back the other way. Methinks they were having a laugh :D

I clocked that too. Nice to see a bit of harmless fun going on.

Interesting piece from Racefans: Verstappen has racked up more penalty points than any other driver. Not all that surprising, but the list of drivers at the top did surprise me:

Rank Driver Penalty points Starts* Points/start
1 Max Verstappen 39 206 0.19
2 Kevin Magnussen 37 182 0.20
3 Sergio Perez 34 222 0.15
4 Sebastian Vettel 32 179 0.18
5 Lance Stroll 29 163 0.18
6 Daniil Kvyat 27 110 0.25
7 Fernando Alonso 26 184 0.14
8 Romain Grosjean 23 134 0.17
9 Nico Hulkenberg 22 167 0.13
10 Daniel Ricciardo 21 207 0.10

KMag, Grosjean, Stroll, and Perez are also no surprise, but who had Vettel down as clocking up penalty points at that rate, or Hülk, or Ricciardo? I'd have figured drivers like Ocon might be up there as well.

I think the ratio of points to starts is the interesting one and more representative..

I got excited when I saw a news story that Mercedes were rejoining WEC. But it’s a LMGT3 partnership with Iron Lynx. Its something but seeing them in the top tier would’ve been better!

Rumours that F1 will be allowing a new team for 2026 after all! Presumably Andretti? Great news, if confirmed.

Multiple reports elsewhere that its not Andretti but actually a General Motors works entry instead with them having ditched the backing for the Andretti team; possible there could still be some smaller scale collaboration even if its a GM branded team I guess.
Still planning to be a "customer" team for 2x years before their own engine is ready for 2028 though.

Not sure how it squares with news of GM layoffs today though....

The reports I'm seeing think it'll still be Andretti but with more GM/Cadillac involvement? I guess we'll find out soon enough. Either way, it's good news. I don't care about Andretti specifically, but I do think an 11th team would be a great thing for the sport and their reasoning for turning down Andretti was just embarrassing.

BBC, Racer, PLanetF1 all saying GM but not Andretti; I guess we'll find out; seems like it could be a setup where the team is branded and run as "GM" but with support from Andretti maybe but certainly seems there's not going to be an "Andretti Grand Prix" team on the grid.
