And all cars passed that test in Australia. From what I can gather it’s click bait headlines from sky sports

In Australia the limit was 2.0mm, from now on it will be 0.5mm except for China where it is 0.75mm. I don't think the deflections from Australia have been been published anywhere? Where are you getting that they all pass the new test from?

On one of the many Youtube vids about it, I am sure it's The Race channel I watched it on. Please correct me if I'm mistaken, its possible as I was working while listening to it.

No team has passed the new test yet, they all passed the original 2mm test. The FIA asked for all teams to attach cameras during FP1,2 and 3 in Australia so they could make a decision on what the new limit would be - and made that limit 0.75mm for China and then 0.5mm from then on.

Ahh I understood it as the camera proved all teams passed the anticipated new test of 0.XX mm.

Re. the bendy wings 'storm in a teacup', Lando says that McLaren were already compliant with the new 0.75mm/0.5mm ruling in Australia and that he reckons they could actually push the boundaries a little further:

Apologies if this has already been posted..

Yeah coming from a few sources now, looks like Yuki will be in the Red Bull.... interested to see how this goes to be honest

Its a gamble for Yuki, red bull made it clear he wasn't wanted and in all probability wouldn't be signing him after his contract ends. This made other teams not want him. Having firmly beaten Riccardo and mostly getting the jump on Lawson last season and his form continuing the first 2 races of this season red bull are now having to eat a bit of humble pie.

However

If Yuki fails to keep close to verstapen that's his career finished.... again.

With other teams pretty much having long term contracts there isn't anywhere for Yuki to go next season. Both Merc drivers are out of contract, but if performance stays good I can't see them not being resigned, unless they can woo max out of red bull.

Red bull don't seem to have a plan for max leaving, so I wonder what they would do if max does go to Mercedes? Take on Russell?

Yuki is a massive gamble too, he's looked quick but he didn't exactly destroy Lawson last year, he might struggle as much as Lawson in the Red Bull. I assume if Yuki is dire that they start to look elsewhere.....
Personally I think Max will stick it out at least another year at Red Bull anyway, might as well let 2026 happen and then see where the best cars/engines are before making a decision.
Red Bull should have just brought Sainz back, although I suspect they didn't because the Sainz/Verstappen's don't get on in the background apparently (the dads!)

Yeah dont see this ending well for Yuki, he have to be within a couple of tenths of verstappen for people to really take notice.

Guess there is a chance if he does ok and Alonso finally retires soon could end up at Aston Martin with the honda connection.

Rumours of course say verstappen could end up there if newey works his magic.

I think Aston Martin will be setting their sights higher than Tsunodo to replace Alonso (assuming Stroll isn't going anywhere) - Honda all but confirmed themselves that they can't do any more to support Tsunoda get another seat.
But I don't see him at AMR anyway, they might try and poach Max but if not I expect we'll see another big driver there in 2027, one of Leclerc, Russell, Norris or Piastri

Seems to come down to how much car control he has as that’s what every ex 2nd seater has said.

Lawson has seen a good amount of success in other series and his racing style is similar to Max, so he definitely shouldn’t be 20th. Possible that his more aggressive driving style doesn’t suit a car that requires precision. Yuki has more experience with RB cars so maybe he can make something happen.

Will be hilarious if he is quick given how stubborn Red Bull have been about promoting him.

Madness.

I wonder whether they'll give Lawson a commiseration driver in the Racing Bull before binning him off completely or whether that's him done? Terrible position for Yuki to be in too, having to perform in that cursed seat without even getting a winter to prepare or the pre-season test. I hope he's up to it, but I emphasise the hope.

Utter incompetence from Red Bull.

That’d probably be the only time I’d cheer a RB driver doing well :D

Do we think this might actually (continue to) affect RB’s ability to get decent drivers going forward? If Tsunoda doesn’t succeed then that’s 3 driver’s careers killed in what 4-5 months? Who the heck is going to go there. You’d be better off enjoying F2 for a bit longer and wait for Alonso to retire!

I doubt it'll make much odds, there's still only a finite number of seats on the grid and loads of drivers who would kill for any one of them

If Yuki can't get that car to work RB are in serious trouble if Max it thr literal only driver to make them race worthy. When he leaves that will leave them nowhere for a very long time.
