Agree with above.

Although I reckon (hope) they are stalling to land a big sponsor before the season starts. Then will change the livery accordingly.

It's to avoid any possibility of a secondary concussion within a month of the first, I suspect Melbourne being a street circuit was also taken into account.

Still, McLaren haven't handled it too well with conflicting messages.

To stoke the fire a little there has been a report from Sky Italia that Alonso felt a large shock at the base of his spine prior to going off, according to his entourage.

Which might suggest discharge from the MGU-K or similar?

Yet not one source for any of it.

Rumours are one thing, but AMUS have managed to get car telemetry? How the **** did that happen? Hamilton doesn't even drive for McLaren any more.

After reading the AmuS article it seems both the FIA and Ron Dennis rule out an electric shock, citing data from the car and medical findings.

Brundle seems pretty sure McLaren are concealing something. So yeah, anyone's guess really.

I'm assuming they used that as part of their negotiation to get their current token allowance. Originally they were more restricted, both parties compromised.
