Mountain Biking

Man those tracks look really fun to ride. How steep are they btw? the stuff in north wales is so steep sometimes i just want really fast flowy stuff with manageable drop off etc for a above average rider! haha

They are, Aston hill is awesome, I always make a point to stop off there whenever i'm in the area.
Tracks arnt hugely steep on the whole, there are some steep sections, but most of it is just steep enough to allow you to keep the speed up and flow without huge effort.
Its the variety of riding up there that is great, each track offers something different. all packaged up easily accessible on this little hill, the only drawback of the place is the horrible push back up!!! of which you will want to do many times!

If you do the XC loop back to the top, there's a particularly fast section that runs next to the golf course before you start to climb. I've nearly wiped out there twice, despite only visiting Aston once :D

Haha, the pushup isn't too bad! :)
Think the most I did in a day was about 15 or 16 runs, and thought I was going to die by the end.

Haha, spoken to him a fair bit... he will remember me as the bald South African that told him to get the charger damper for his fork :)... along with the long hairred, bearded Englishman I hang out with.

ha yep thats the douche'
he is loving that charger
he was telling me there is a bench half way back up the push up now lol

I rode tidworth yesterday morning and going back tomorrow night if it stops raining !

Two benches, they multiplied recently... and no one knows where any of them came from!!!
Us as the committee didn't do it, and no one else fessed up. Total, brilliant, mystery! :D

Why buy an airshot?

Even the guy who designed it went "Ah f*ck" when he demo'd a flash charger at a recent BDS.

With the airshot, you need to
* Carry both your normal floor pump, and airshot together
* Connect the airshot to pump
* Inflate the airshot
* Disconnect the airshot from pump
* Connect airshot to tyre and make it go boom
* Disconnect airshot from tyre
* Connect normal pump to tyre to check PSI

So much faff, when you could have one device that does it all, for not a lot more money haha.

Flash charger:
* Connect pump to tyre
* Inflate charger (or you can do this beforehand)
* Pull red lever and watch it go boom
* See PSI and deflate to heart's content

I had read that the Flash Charger was a mediocre pump at best. Thought maybe an Airshot and a good pump would be the best of both worlds.

I need a pump and a way to seal tubeless tyres, so I'm in a position to buy whatever's the "best".

EDIT: Just saw your edit :) Flash Charger does seems like a good all-in-one solution. Thanks!

Yea, saw some of those reviews, though I'm not entirely sure what else they want the pump part to do?

it pumps up a tyre, fast (even without the charge bit), and gives you a PSI reading.... reviewer want a BJ too ?

HOW ******* AWESOME!!!! I want to ride that top to bottom so bad!
Gives me a renewed sense of respect for what the EWS athletes are doing!

That is insane. Basically a 15 min long downhill course. The speed on the fireroad at 4 mins is crazy, one false move and you would be destroyed. Such a gnarly hardcore track, like a redbull hardline for enduro.

Edit: bike park wales sunday woot. Weather says wet but i dont care!
