EDIT: Argh! I think the knee pads are too small. I even bought a tape measure to ensure that I was ordering the correct size :(

Looks brand new! Nice bike for the dough, always loved that glory frame.

Pretty much is, was the little things as well that helped - his friend works for SRAM which is why all the parts were changed. He also shortened all the cables and replaced all the bolts for titanium ones and looked after it for him.

Time for some uplifts

This is a long shot, but does anyone know where I could get a pair of IXS Flow knee pads in a shop somewhere in or near Middlesex? The only place I could find is in Oxford (Ubyk).

CRC are out of stock of XLs :(

Everything I've read about them says that they're the perfect balance between comfort and performance. I will no doubt get a more substantial pair like the RaceFace Ambush for places like Aston, but most of the riding I do is at places like Swinley or Cwmcarn that don't warrant a heavy, uncomfortable pair of pads.

You riding on Saturday anywhere 'Cow? Had to cancel Coed y Brenin due to the atrocious weather forecast. Gutted :(

Who said the others are heavy and uncomfortable? ;)

Yeah, either Surrey hills, Aston or Woburn. I'll let you know what the consensus is tomorrow

I'm out on Saturday, but I think I need one more snoreathon round Swinley before I go and ride with the big boys again.

Got to jump back onto a HT for the first time in years as my rear shock is somewhere in the service center, borrowing this from a mate for a ride tomorrow.. My poor bum, and no big jumps :'(

Never ridden a 29er properly before, test ridden loads working in a bike shop but that's it.

It feels like I never leave work, got to fix the puncture tomorrow :(
