Mountain Biking

I *think* he meant that they seem to be bringing out a lot of hardtails... when will it stop?

I agree, though, that their supply chain management is awful. Especially since it's 6 months+ since they got to the very very end of their first lot of Aeris pre-order frames.... I know this because I got the last black one. And the only other option they had was yellow in a Large.

When did you order Jono? A while back was it?
After I ordered my black large frame, the website was then Out of Stock straigh away after ordering more or less. Did not want to wait until Feb/March to buy it!!!!

I went down at the back end of April (20th maybe), test rode one, ordered it about a week later and I got it at the end of May.

Otherwise I'd have had to wait until the end of July for the next lot of frames to arrive.

Flash Charger has arrived. Man it's built like a tank, I feel a little better for spending £70 on it. If it gets these damn Schwables mounted too will be a bonus :D

Pics please :D

Still waiting for my new frames to arrive, and got a pair of forks and a few bits and bobs for building (cabling/etc) on the way too.

Rubbish pic, sorry. Have a serious amount of reverb hose to trim down and some other fettling to do before a first ride at the weekend. Then booked in for BPW on Tuesday :)

That's a serious amount of hose there Baj! You'll hang yourself from a tree with that, hows it so long, is the post at the correct height as it in the picture?

Lovely looking bike though Baj.

BPW had to close early today due to the weather (high winds), it's been bloody wind down here! Bad enough down in the town, god help what it was like up the top of the mountain!

It seems that Commencal shop them with the hose at max length. I've not stuck my pedals on yet in order to set the post height, but regardless there's a lot to chop off.

Hoping the wind calms down by next week then!

Yeah I didn't understand the weird reviews slating the build quality.

That bike Baj looks great, glad someone has a reverb hose longer than me though :p

yeah sadly inevitable, hes getting on a bit now, injuries are starting to build and cant match the pace of the top guys. i think its a good move for him to step aside and let a newb into the team.

I agree, he's done an incredible amount for the sport. I hope he doesn't dissapear and keeps present though.

Quite obvious it was going to happen, he's been building up on loads of stuff recently. Insurance, his trade show etc.

The first time I ride to work in months, thought i'd take the full sus as it's more fun to ride, popped my lights on.. Get to work and i'm missing my exposure tracer rear  Wasn't a happy bunny when I got to work!!

£100 says it's not always that neat :D

What skewers and seatpost are those

It's never known anything else!

The shelf only got built and put up yesterday.. :D Had to make it a custom to allow.me to drive my MG in and still be able to open the bonnet. Before that, most of the stuff was in a box.

Skewers are just generic coloured ones. £2.99 for a pair, seatposts are just Chinese cheapy specials.

I have three more retro FSR frames I am building up over the winter. Got loads more bits to get though. Getting stuff from the local bike project, eBay and retro bike forums slowly to keep the costs down :)
