Yes, it's booked on the container ship... but it's just that I need to pay for an awful lot of things when I get there / 2 new cars / rent a place for 6 months before I'll buy etc etc etc.

All on top of the whole process being very expensive and not having a job to go to. If I sell the Reign, it will mean that I can use that to stem some of the haemorrhaging of cash :p

anyone reckon the goodridge 5.5mm hose will be okay with the current fittings from my 6mm hope braided hose?

dont really want to have to change the fittings if i can help it, they're not cheap.

Neil having/had the same problem with you (same tyres)

There are slight kinks in my tyres from packaging.. same with yours?

Managed to get them up now with the help of a mate, just i've run out of Stans so they're leaking :(

Have been out on the Meta this weekend getting it all setup and run-in. Had a few teething problems with the Reverb refusing to return and some gears skipping, think I've sorted them now though.

+ Pike - feels so sturdy after a lifetime on Fox 32's
+ 1x11 - all the range, super simple
– Minons - not sure about these, nowhere near the confidence I had on Hans Dampfs
– Internal cables - sure they look neat but they like to rattle don't they

Sold the Bandit this morning too, sad to see that go. In a way it was more fun than the Meta, it just loved to get airborne where as the Meta feels a bigger bike all-round. I'm gonna need to up my game to get the most out of it I feel.

Off to BPW on Tuesday, not been before, any tips from anyone?

Cheeky pics ....

Bike park wales rides awesome no matter wet or dry so you'll have fun.

Start off on sixtapod and willy waver to get warmed up. They are both rated blue but are insanely fast, especially willy waver. Terrys belly is ok, but lame comapared to the rest, still worth a go. Melted welly is another fun blue, along with blue belle. The problem with the blue routes are you think there lame and tame so you ride them stupidly fast and thats when you get caught out and have a nasty off, so be vigilant and careful! Last time I went to bike park wales I was on the first uplift bus and someone had a nasty off on sixtapod because of the speed and that was his day finished, an ambulance come and took him away! what a waste of time and money!

Wibbly wobbly is probably the easiest red there, its rocky and fun with a tiny path gap jump. Viscous valley is a very technical red with off camber roots and some mega steep switch backs.

Coal not dole and pork belly are my favourite blacks, to be fair they should be red not black.

A470 is a jump junkies dream as its just a downhill track littered with tabletops, there must be over 20 jumps on it.

I like bike park wales as its mega fast but not that technical comapared to the likes of forest of dean. The tracks are hardpack so weather doesnt make much difference, you'll still be smiling ear to ear in the rain.

The uplift vans have an hour break at around 1 so the cafe is mental rammed during the break, take a pack up if you dont want ques, though the food is nice and worth a que.

uplift vans didn't have a break when i went a few weeks ago due to so many of them running they staggered lunch.

I'm still rocking my bandit. Any reason you decided to ditch yours? I swapped my fox 34's for Pikes around 18 months ago.

More for a change than anything. I was looking at putting some Pikes on the Bandit, then somehow ended up getting a new bike instead. Hope I don't come to regret it as I loved the Bandit.

Thanks for that, just taking a look at some videos now.

I'm still struggling on bigger drops and jumps, ive been practising a lot on smaller ones lately to get comfortable but every time i get to something slightly bigger with more speed i crap myself and squash it :( Different types of jumps/drops get me to. Literally i smash a 2 foot drop on my fav trail all the time but pull up to something else similar and i freeze! I tried a different 2-3 foot drop not long ago, there was less speed into it and a slopey landing compared to a usual flat one, thought id nailed it but landed to front wheel down first and over the bars slow mo style! haha

I know its all in my head but its a nightmare to get out of that mindset. I guess just keep practising on the smaller ones until it comes? but then if i dont try other stuff it will never push me out of my comfort zone! gah! :D
