Mountain Biking

Preaching to the converted I'm sure ... but wow, Bike Park Wales is an awesome place!

Yea man i love it there. Whats your fav trails?

Did you attempt the black section called rock n roll? My god its steep in person.

Last few times i've been there with mates they've got the fitness of a 90year old alcoholic smoker. They bum out after about 3-4 runs! After a 3 hour drive madness.

I thought they were all great. Even the blues are awesome fun, Terry's Belly feels like it'll never end, you feel like a pro carving the berms. Vicious Valley, Wibbly Wobbly and Rim Dinger are great too.

I didn't take Rock n Roll, that section of the hill seemed a right swamp, I think that's to the side of Bonneyville, which in itself was a right gloop-fest past the chicane section.

Think I got about 9-10 runs in over the day. First time on an uplift, different muscles ache today than I'm used to.

Can anyone tell me what current good helmet and multi tool purchases are?

I used to have a giro hex helmet I think. And a topeak alien.

I remember they were decent at the time.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Next time i book an uplift i'll shout you a holla whether its forest of dean or bike park wales.

Forest of dean is awesome too but very weather dependant as it gets sloppy joloppy.

I use an IXIS, which is nice.

The troy lee one looks very nice too.

ixs trail rs here too, nice helmet. only downside is nowhere to stick a gopro.

Will the flat surface mount not force into this gap?

Yeah tried there too, I use the helmet mount thing with the velcro. It works, but not incredible. I did get it to stick on the side a bit though.

Halfords redeemed themselves nicely.

Gave me £90 to spend on things. So I just grabbed a Giro Rift helmet, a topeak tool thing and a decent bike lock for any occasions I may need it.

Certainly cant complain at that.
