Mountain Biking

No need to go 1x11 just go 1x10. You can get a standard 36t cassette if not already and if your legs are still too weedy you can get a range expander to drop a cog and add a 40 or 42t ring on the cassette. You might need to mod the rear mech but theres long bits for them readily available.

If you did go 1x11 your needing new rear mech, rear shifter, cassette and more than likely chain. Also depending on crank and bcd could need new cranks to fit a ring of your liking.
 
Cheers guys! Annoying thing is I crashed on stage 4 at the start and covered my handle bar in mud so had to ride the stage with mud all over my hand which was sketchy as hell lol! FOD mini DH round 3 next week!

My old dog of a bike. Just had a new pair of mavic wheels fitted and my word what a difference. Like riding a cloud now.

Probably 8 years old now Specialized Crosstrail. DMR pedals need replacing for something bigger so opens to suggestions.
 
Fox 34 or 36 for a production shan 27.5?

Any any experience with either (or an alternative). I've asked similar before, but looking to purchase this weekend so I'd like to get the ball rolling :)

If not surely Fox 36s? Best part of a grand though! :eek:
