Mountain Biking

Nah, even though manufacturers claim "11 speed" chainrings and cranks - it doesn't matter.
I believe that you do not need a new hub or adapter for the shimano 11 speed gubbins

If shimanos 11 speed cassette fits on a standard freehub body then i'm on it! New cassette, mech and shifter, hopefully 10 speed chain is the same as 11 as my gold kmc is 1 ride old

cow - saw a nicolai fatbike at tidworth last weekend - looked a struggle over the tight turns and jumps :D

also ive got a free 2012 fox rampage helmet but it needs new visor screws but cant find much info online - are these the same on all helmets or is it specific to a model or make? i need them before wales next weekend eeeek

I hope that you farted in his general direction? :p

I *think* most visor thumb screw thingies are interchangeable, though it may or may not look perfect (I swapped a silver onto a lid with black ones).

I recall swapping one from TLD D3 , to a a specialized Dissident lid I had. I wrecked my D3 in a crash, but just had it laying in the garage. Then wrecked the peak off my Spec. It came with a replacement visor, but no screws. Just unscrewed from the D3 and voila!

Looks great postbox!

Any reason why it's running a chain guide?

Also looking at prices, it's going to be what £200 to change to 1x11 - seems good to me!

Sick as Bike there Postbox. Those bikes are seriously capable and very well sized.
I also run a bash / taco – as I mentioned before, I don’t have dedicated Dh bike anymore, so I wanted to give me bike the protection it may require on days when things get rough.

Also, Narrow wide + clutch is amazing, but anyone who says their chain never, ever drops… is either lying, or don’t ride hard enough (which is why I cannot fathom why some of those top freeriders in the rampage did their runs without a device on…why would you take the risk?!!)

Edit: i love that bar and stem combo, is that a 35mm reach stem?

yea looks like the 35 x 35 x 35 combo (magic combo I'm running)

edit: nope, just 35 x 35 , looks like he has the 20 odd mm rise bars

Cheers All, I didn't intentionally ask for the bash guard, they just added it as an extra which was was a nice bonus when it came - They also added the Invisiframe (which I did ask for) saves me having to take it to the guy down the road.

For the last 6 months I've had no bike so had to borrow / beg / rent bikes so I'm stoked now I've finally got one. This is my time owning a 1st FS and my 1st 11x1 so I've got some bedding in to do. I did however have some confidence boosting runs at Innerleithen on a FS, but can't wait to try it on something that's more tuned for me.

Ben (from bird), spent a fair bit of time getting the tune for the CCDBA right, so would be close enough to suit most riders' preference out there.

Hey guys,

I'm doing a 50 mile ride in a few weeks and am looking at putting some road tyres on my MTB. I've narrowed it down to some schwalbe marathons but not sure if I should be running 1.5" or 1.75". With 1.5" it looks like I'll also need new tubes since mine are 1.75-2.25.

Would there much much difference between the two sizes?

I'm a recent convert to Shimano Zee + Narrow Wide up front.

I still stick the bash on when doing the Ft William DH but the chain stays on over 90% of the time everywhere else.

Another bike pic excuse I guess:
