Mountain Biking

I made up a spare set of "road" wheels for my mtb. Racer rims+tyres, but with mtb hub and disc brakes. Ran with that for years on the commute, before all the hybrids came out.
 
After the attempt almost killed me.. I'm now up to 30minutes on the static trainer.. tomorrow it will be 60minutes. So it's doing it's job (yes I was that unfit).
 
I bought 2 x Thule 591 bike racks from an eBay store for £112 delivered. Pretty chuffed at that price until they turned up.....the box was ripped open and the keys for one them was missing as they were loose on the inside of the box. Thankfully the eBay store turned out to be a Ford Dealership and they are sending me a new set of keys.

Shimano workshop grease is the best I have used.


On another note...Hope to move to the doorstep of the Cairngorms in a few months. IBT Stoked thread lock. :p
 
any helmet reccomendations for someone with a longish narrow head? Ive used a MET crossover for a year and a bit but need a new one now as its had its day so looking at other options!

Yes (well, the nukeproof equivalent), a step above using soap with some nails pressed through them.
Good few years ago now, a mate bought them, used them one run down the local DH track and took them off immediately. I tried them, then proceeded to throw them away.
