Mountain Biking

Yeah I was thinking the same tbh, your not a mtber is you don't ride in the mud :p plus wet riding really helps advance skills

Plus it's unreal fun. I'm going through tyres, bearings and pads (probably more so) every 4-6 months because of the wet at the moment!

I'm a fellow butterfly

I only come out when its sunny

Is it weird to prefer it a little bit wet?

I find the tyre grips more personally than in the complete dry. done 40 miles of trails this week. 2x Gisburn + 1x hamsterley. utterly goosed.

Looking forward to getting back to Gisburn but not sure my fitness is good enough just yet, find that place miserable if your not in reasonable shape.

Yeah it's brutal. Lots and lots of techy up hill and fire-road climbs. Especially when you've done the first loop and then need to go right up towards hully gully... It's brutal. But I see it as a challenge and try to pedal most if not all of the way.

Yeah the only bit I normally push up is the bit beside the Hope line, of I want to pedal I carry on along the road and up that way not as step but longer.

Finally managed to get out on a little bikepacking trip after buying my gear last year. Really enjoyed it, we cut the second day short as it was just hoofing down with rain once we'd packed up camp, but the first day was great. Definitely going to go again.

Cracking stuff - how far did you manage to ride?

That's mega! Where did you go?

Keep wanting to do it on the gravel bike. Need to get a rear seat bag.
