Mountain Biking

Revs is always slippy. Face planted the black first ride on the last trip. The middle sections are much better for grip than further down. They are hairy though, been 4 times now and I'm still on edge every single time. Not sure why, as I done Dyfi happily, but some of the sections at Revs is terrifying. Never had the balls for far side though.

Unreal uplift though, could easily get 10+ trips in a day.

Ive been lucky with Revs, only been twice but has been bone dry each time.

Last time I went it was dry, still greasy as hell for some reason. Reece Wilson was on the uplift with us, also moaning about how greasy it was! Made me feel a little bit less of a wimp.

Can't wait to get back. There's a new place just opened opposite Llangollens uplift too that looks worth a try. Never done it or Llangollen uplift, but I hear great things.

Got about 5 or 6 uplifts in North Wales now, it's definitely a growing sport!

I've definately got to check these out, only been to Stiniog and Revs so branching out is in order.

Here's a run down Main Line at Revs, only second time I'd ridden it so lots of poor lines and missed jumps that should have been jump but didn't know where I was going really :p

Fair play that looks fast! That corner into the first bit of main line is gnarly in any sort of damp!

Had a race there last year, lad who works there was asked if he wanted to be timed. Was 1 second away from the leader(dh bike, raced for years) , on a borrowed hardtail, work boots and a black bin bag!

whhoooo flying matey!

You need to get out to DyFi mate, as well as Black Mountains / Dirt Farm. Lets organise a date, properly this time!

Lol holy moly. And yeah, that first corner was wet last time and I just turned around lol. I was slipping just standing there.

Did Dyfi last year but definately need to go back. So many new tracks added since I was there. Generally if a Saturday or Sunday I should be good to go so lets get something booked in

That's sucks!

Any recommendations for brake pads? I've always used Uber Bike Race Matrix pads in the past but they seem to screech a bit on my MT7s on the dh bike. You can here them in the video I posted from Revs.

Trail bike needs new pads now, running Magura brakes, any pad recommendations?
I can suggest the copper free pads from here. (The green ones)

Previous pads made quite the racket when wet, now they don't and the stopping power is just fine. They have plenty of choice if that isn't what you're after though!

That's for the suggestion, hadn't heard of them so I'll check them out. I have been learning towards Galfer pads

I mean I've booked up mate hah. Come if you can.

Rode inners yesterday and the golfie today. Wow the golfie is SO GOOD. Inners is blown out to high hell compared to that place, so much better. Climb is gruesome though.

Sorry, not doing to be able to come on the 17th as the misses has informed me we're visiting her parents in Birmingham. We WILL get something sorted though

Any idea where I can buy used bikes apart form ebay, facebook and Pinkbike? I'm finding it really hard to find small sized used MTB in my area.
