Mountain Biking

yeah its the carbon model, not got round to checking yet, I was a little apprehensive about getting a carbon frame at first, i used to have a bit of a phobia about carbon bikes and parts in the past, but the industry has moved on lots over the years, and i guess i just got to get over it and embrace it.
Just got to check myself every now and then now just to make sure i dont go fullduro!

Yeah gonna sort everything out on sunday, got a lot of fettling to do, still got to get the correct sag on the shocks as well, but i'm all tooled out for the day, had to go through and check and service the fleet of bikes we are using for another week of MTBing up in the highlands next week, 20 poorly maintained rough as **** hand'me'down sorry excuses for mountain bikes, glad i have my own bike, ach well at least they work now.

First go - just need shock bushings :( and fork steerer cut down

The norco and banshee are stunning. Need to drop that front mech n twin ring on the norco! Why the hell isnt it 1x11? That banshee probably the blackest bike on the planet, call it the darkness.

It's one of the cheaper specs in the range, the next one up the 7.2 is 1x11, but that was way out my price range for now.
When I get the dh bike sold and free up some cash, the plan was to drop the front mech, fit a N/W, a big 42 expander ring on the cassette and some form of guide with taco for protection. I have no intention of going 1x11 any time soon, when the current drivetrain is worn or broken, I may consider it.

That looks a lot like mine, except I've gone for X1, gettothechopper :)

Question about Front (and possibly rear) Maxle - how'd you know what angle the lever should go at? It came with a warning label about the position being "CRITICAL" and to consult the user manual for instructions - however, I can't seem to find any such instructions?

That Norco is a lovely looking bike with that colour scheme :D
Cheers!

Didnt realise how difficult it would be to get a hose for a reverb stealth at short notice, so just got my money back, and went 1x10, Hope t-rex 40t, and a N/W.
Possibly a controversial choice on the chainring, B-Labs oval N/W, had a little play on the demo bike in the shop and to be fair it was quite surprising, granted i only had a play up the road, but i thought it was worth a punt at least, so i'm gonna give it a go, if i dont get on with it on the trail next week, i'll just replace it with a conventional 30t N/W.
