Not really, roxkshox use mineral oil so it isn't harmful to your paintwork. Just give it a wipe off with something after. I normally do, but it's only because I have about 30litres sat in work.

managed to get all of the hoses swapped and routed today (which was incredibly fun). just need to bleed the brakes and index the gears..

then ride it at the weekend

she's a little porkier than i thought she'd be, 32.45lb. probably crankset and tubes..

oh and anyone who asked about my old reverb, its 31.6mm 380mm left hand lever. reasonable condition (pics on request) but works fine.

chains though - my xt shimano chain breaks every 3rd pedal

so shim or kmc or sram chain? running on m8000 xt 11-42 and a hope 32 retainer?

No, I've come to love it, if there's a reward waiting. Afan, however, just feels like it's up the entire time with very very little payoff.

I can't recall the Afan I rode, I think that I might be a little too hasty in saying it sucks... as the other(s) might be a lot better. The one (really cant remember which one or what it was called) was boring as hell.

Some of the other guys in here might chime in / knowing the place a bit better?

ps: the CwmCarn climb is pretty horrible, but has epic descents at the end. The new XC track is also great fun. Might even be able to grab a last couple uplifts / pay by the ride if you fancy it.
