US: Mr. Robot

Well that was weird, as they were standing on the train station platform I had a strong sense of Deja vu and then the penny dropped that I had stood in that exact same place in New Jersey. :D
 
I guess we all saw it coming - the man that always looks the same in the same clothes, always appears out of nowhere right after he's needed or spoken of as if he had a sixth sense. Did anyone else catch the other "zoink!" bit in last episode?

I took that as a reference to them being friends for soooo long.
 
My thoughts on the latest episodes.

It's been totally ruined by his imagining Mr Robot and Darlene being his sister. It's a terrible change in direction and it's ruined the show for me. I'll still watch the last episode as there is only one more but i'm not expecting anything particularly brilliant from it :(

Such a shame because it was a brilliant series.
 
Dammit - they have postponed the season finale until next week because of the live on air shooting that happened in Virginia yesterday.

Apparently something in the finale is pretty close to what went down.

Yeah you cant blame them. At the end of the day its a TV show and if there are similarities it would be too disrespectful at this early stage to show it. Fair play to them they haven't cancelled it so just an extra week to wait isn't a big hardship.
 
there's similarities about something in the show almost every week.

they wouldn't postpone an episode because ashley maddison got hacked and a few people killed themselves over it, but 2 people get shot and it's tragic yea but it's not the programs fault.

Right or wrong, most of America will see a big difference between people committing suicide out of shame because they have been caught cheating on their partners and the cold blooded execution of two totally innocent people live on TV.

Postponing the finale for a week allows things to cool down somewhat. If they had aired the show last night there would have been a huge public outcry, mostly from people who never even watch the show and a fantastic show would have been tainted in the public eye.
 
Yes, the media would certainly pick up on it and then the public would have followed like offended sheep, and the whole thing would be something best avoided, which is what they have done.
 
This is the best show I have seen in ages!

I was a little disappointed by Darlene turning out to be his sister, but I had genuinely forgotten that I initially suspected his dad/Mr Robot being in his head, so I was quite surprised when he turned out to be a hallucination. I thought it was a great touch how they played Where Is My Mind (piano version) when he went to the arcade. Nice nod to Fight Club there.

You're assuming there that he would be caught ;)

Also remember a few episodes back where 'Mr Robot' went to see Romero to try and get him back in the group he pulled out a gun and shoved it in his face.

That was a different gun to the popcorn machine one, so does that mean that Elliott has another gun somewhere or is it just not relevant, who knows. Can't remember if he left the gun or took it with him
