ASUS GTX780-DC2, without a second thought, available now and you could have all the fun you needed with it in an air or water environment.

Can you over volt a dcuii? I did hear it had vga hotwire support, but this requires an rog extreme board and soldering...

I would think you could run as much power as you needed for normal heavy overclocking on air or water, I don't recall seeing anything about vga hotwire support, but worth checking.
Oops.. scrap that, you are correct and I am wrong, sorry, does seem you need other stuff like Evga and the ev bot to push it hard....seems Asus implemented my Idea regarding moding and loosing warranty

I've benched that card now, need a haswell rig to get any more points from it.This
The only issue comes with the voltage spec, it will still be Nvidias stock +38mv, I'll have another look around but I'm sure one video review suggested it was VGA Hotwire capable.
I think the only time we'll see true over voltage on an Asus 780 will be if they decide on a Mars/Matrix type card.

Ah, I was hopeful it would just be a case of putting the hotwire leads on and that would be job done, don't fancy insta-voiding the warranty and in all likelihood destroying the card trying to remove a resistor.
New plan of action for me: Pay up for motherboard etc... now, get paid the 25th, have a few days to wait and see? 9970 info is just starting to leak now too.

For Full voltage control on DC2 you need to remove resistor for OCP. Then add variables to each one of the three adjustable voltages. You also need special Bios. You can use the card with VGA Hotwire on ASUS motherboards for full software control or hardware via the resisitors I menotion.
To fix DRAM voltage also a further resistor must be removed. This helps with LN2 clocking and VRAM cold bug.

Me? R4F + 4930K + (probably) 2666mhz tridentX. I won't be touching anything I have to do extensive work like that on. Just the VGA wires I could have probably lived with, removing resistors is waaaay out of my depth and comfort zone, on a £550 card anyhow.
ASUS have a GPU tweak also that does not need the resistor mod for upto 1.6v. But its internal use only as is the supporting Bios.
Good choice on the other parts although Corsairs C10 2666 mhz kit is also strong.
Your Big Bang will support Ivy E. Infact I know it does for certain.
Did you ever try PSC on the big bang??? Sadly 1T is no good for me on SB-E DDR2400+. Even on that 5.7 chip. The rest seems ok though.

Big bang is having to make way so I can move to a smaller case (Enthoo). Though as spanner in the works go, my detective skills tell me the 'something big' is around a caselabs case...I'll be sad to see the board go (when I finally sell it, who knows may keep it for a benching rig?).
No PSC yet, I am trying to get hold of a good kit, keep missing out on the 6-7-6 1600mhz & 7-8-7 2000mhz PSC kits
Believe my RipjawsZ are Hynix, really strong dimms so far only limited by my IMC and my clocking skills, sitting pretty at 2410mhz 10-12-12-88-1T seconds tuned and thirds auto.
I really struggled to hit 1T on those ripjaws, moving dram voltage from 1.7 to 1.725v sorted that out though

It is pretty useless on the GTX 690s as well. I think I tried it once on the Titans and that did not go well either.
I have got a old style set of Corsair Dominator 2000mhz 7-8-7-20 sticks, I tried them on 8 Packs superPi challenge but the performance was not as good as the newer sticks I use.
The old dominators are poor on cold sadly. Not great at all!! No TWL 7 at 2600 kills it and no Cas 7 either!!!
For X79 though on air cooling they do well like 7-11-7 2400 I think or 8-12-8 still tight enough to ruffle some feathers.
Those Ripjaws I think are still old Hynix which means they wont do much more than 2500 at anything like good timings.
