MSI GTX780 Lightning due 07/08/13

I agree. Titan is still the overall king, but does still cost quite a bit more than even the Lightning / Classified 780's

I really wanted the Classified, but there were none about, so I went with the Lightning.
I'm not sure I would have been any happier with one over the other. Buy I'm certainly happy with my Lightning purchases.

Hey Simon. Would a single 780 lightning be a good single card? I want to move to 1 card instead in SLI.

Yes an excellent card based on my results so far.
I am just doing a few benchmarks now at 1400Core on single card.
Just hit 11k in Firestrike :)

I have to admit that I have not played any games on it yet.
But it really does look the part and at normal speeds its very quiet while benching.

It suits my needs perfectly. I can do some killer benchmarks for fun and then have a good card for day-to-day going forward.

I have come from SLI 680's to the Lightning. In benchmarks SLI 680's against single 780 Lightning is fairly similar, but SLI 780's is another level completely.

You would loose a lot of performance ie FPS in games

its 680 sli vs 780

My lightnings are much faster then 680sli.

I would like to see some tests on a single 780 lightning next to my 770 lightnings in SLI.

I know and all I said was you would loose performance going to a single 780

P.S overclock them puppies;)

The thing is though I'm thinking of moving away from SLI to a single card solution. I have a 670 as a back up which runs amazing with the bios update..Thanks to paul for that;) So was thinking of selling my 770 lightnings and either get the fastest 780 I can get or wait and see what AMD bring? Those are my options atm?

I would defo wait for the new Amd cards to be released b4 deciding

SimonMaltby , I was wondering if you could give me some advice in overclocking my Lightning. Ive got it stable at +100mv +180 on core clock and +200 on the memory (109 power limit) but that seems to be as far as I can go (because afterburner doesn't allow me to choose any higher voltage) I am interested to know how I can achieve 1.2v to push the clocks a bit higher but I am a bit of a noob when it comes to this. :D

getting around 10.2k in firestrike with that OC but would love to see 11k

Or I could sell my whole system and do a whole new rebuild using Haswell?

People would pay a lot of money for my PC on the bay. I might see what I could get for my PC?

Will my PC I have now see me through the next couple of years yet?

This a a few week old pic. I have a H100i in there now. Pic below
