I'll wait for 800 series to upgrade again. I won't upgrade again until I upgrade my cpu. I see no point to it tbh

Elmors hwbot score from above is out, 1800mhz core 1900mhz memory, fastest 780 & 5th fastest gpu in 3d11, impressive considering the 4 titans above it all had to use daughter boards and a fair bit of soldering to get that high, while the 780 was done purely on software alone.
A shame we won't see your ivy e scores till' September
So what's going to be needed to de-throne the titans? 2ghz?
@kaap, I can handle the red chaps
Haha still premium cards kaap, still fetch around , especially as they're eol now. Enough to take a chunk out of a 780 lightnings price tag anyhow.
What's been happening with the red guys now? Work and a screaming 7 week old poop machine have left me a little out of the loop so to speak.
Any guesses when the lightnings will be up for pre order.
Sooner the better, at least that way i'll be called a fanboy for defending Nvidia
Guessing you're buying 1 (2?? ) to replace your ageing red rig?
From my understanding they're either available direct for purchase on the 7th or just reveal and pre order the 7th. First public final design batch has already been created too so I'm hopeful on being able to purchase one on the 7th.

I am very tempted.
The new red is green.
Just been looking at prices of MSI gaming edition and lightning cards. On the 770s there is about £35 difference between the two, if this is carried over to the 780s we could be looking at a price just under £600.
Come Gibbo we are on a need to know footing.
