i7 860 needs to drop by about 15-20 quid or at least to the same price level as the i7 920

The problem is there is a lot of grey 920 about so they are cheaper, it will take a while for this to happen to 860.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but Gigabyte is offering up to 6 Years Warranty on their boards!

The official launch of the P55 platform looms closer and closer, more details emerge every day of different processors and motherboards. Prices are flying around and everybody is generally excited for the mainstream 'alternative' to the X58 platform.

Well, here we have something to get you even more excited about. Gigabyte have told us that selected boards from their P55 range will carry up to 6 years warranty in the UK. That is quite something when you think a standard warranty is only usually 2 years.

The models that will carry this special extended warranty are the P55M-UD4 (4 years), the P55-UD4 (4 years), the P55-UD5 (5 years) and finally the P55-UD6 which carries a 6 year warranty!

It seems that every manufacturer wants to offer something unique to their customers to try and lure them away from rival brands. Competition is always good for the consumer though.

To register for this extended warranty, you must follow the steps outlined on Gigabyte's Forum.

Just spoken to customer services again, apparently all the orders will be "fulfilled" (I assume that this means sent) by Tuesday

So you can get in touch with them and sort of a date for them to deliver it again? Or even change address so it gets delivered to my work? May be easier to find than my house, its kinda out of the way lol

The word I got was 'shortly'. I didn't know 'shortly' meant 6 days - but hey - if they're showing significant stock today - there is no reason they shouldn't go out today, one would hope.

Noctua NH-U12P SE2. Just waiting for OcUK to get them in stock!

You can get the socket 1156 adapter separately, if you already have the original NH-U12P. But it'd be easier just to get the SE2, I think. (Plus that includes adapters for sockets 1156 and 1366.)

If you all look back through this thread it's been explained several times as to what is happening.

All of us who ordered during the 2:00pm - 2:02pm Window last Tuesday and who have been successful received an email last week confirming we would receive a board.

We were then told extra stock was arriving at some point on Monday (Today) and our boards should be sent out this evening.

To be fair guys it's only just gone 12pm so I think it's a bit early in the day to be expecting updates and/or emails confirming dispatch just yet.

Still in the warehouse too but as of 5 minutes ago im just pleased im getting one. Then i can start thinking about CPU and RAM!

I ordered on the 1st wave not at 2pm and was told by staff i was in the 1st 30 orders....

Still in the warehouse queue as well. If it's not dispatched today I'm going to have to phone up and ask them to delay my order for a couple of weeks until I'm back from holiday
