Some packs even though quite low C rating and capacity have crazy large wires. Soldering my Turnigy 3S even with good iron was a struggle to tin the wires before soldering and even harder to get into the 'bucket' of XT60. In the end I think the joint was mainly just held with solder rather than mechanical stuffing all of wire into bucket... but it holds strong and now covered with heatshrink.
I worked as a electronics engineer / technician for almost 20 years and still had a hard time.... so feel your pain
Like someone said XT90 would work but overkill for the current drawn, plus XT60 is more widely used and equipment tends to come with the 60s.
