Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

The thing is though, he can't. As a PFAW holder he's actually more restricted than a hobbyist flier.

Stupid isn't it.

Quite. The caravan park was actually on the edge of a Danger Zone (specifically permitted for long-range UAV activity interestingly) so had to give the local radar a call. Can be a faff but all for a good reason.

Russ, I like it but I'm (uninformed, out of touch, not in this market at all type caveats etc :) ) not a fan of the faded colour scheme in the first half, could confuse potential customers?

Maybe stay consistent through the videos, try and match the colour/white balance across them? I would also have your brand/logo at the start to reinforce it.

I would agree with the vlog look, it makes some of the shots look slightly over-exposed. For me it take too long for the music to kick in, id look at editing the music down for a shorter intro.

Fair! Will have a play. It was inspired by the old recording you're right, clients are stupid and they probably won't get it.

Wish we had bikini-clad models jumping out of helicopters for no apparent reason!

Rebuild complete.... H3-3D which was only 1 month old was toast so had to fit my old chinese gimbal :(. DJI stopped making 1038 props so forced to Graupners. Frame is HK H550 clone for £15. Got some flanged lock nuts coming in for props but silly turret nuts will have to do for now. Not sure is she flys yet. Big test toms :)

Had a great flight with the 250 this morning. Video feed much better since the vtx secured. Showed my brother he was impressed with my flying skills. Really getting confident with rate mode now. Cant wait to get it tuned in more.

Also had a flight with the 450. Feeling much more better without the lumpy landing skids on, back to white legs and flies much better

Omg ghandi thanks fpr your example pids. Using them as a base, mobius camera not charged so cant look at on board footage to see if any oscliation but flies fast, locked in, rolls and loops really responsive

Will use this as a baseline then just finetune it

Stil needs sone tuning but rapid response and very quick.

Fractured one the pcb board coming down too hard. Oops

Going to setup two profiles. The one im tweakikg from defaults and the one im tweaking from the example

Cool. I'm very happy you found them useful :)

I've been on holiday in cornwall for a week, took the quad but the only times flying was vaguely possible it was blowing a gale. Still, tomorrow is another story. Monday off, weather looking ok and a new version of cleanflight to test.

Getting closer to the sweet spot with the settings on the P3P. I just need to find another place to fly as Im getting fed up taking pics of the same field :)

I found a few 3D parts on ThingVerse which looked good. So was then looking for local 3D printers and came across 3DHubs which lets you send your files to 3D printers in your area. Anyway I thought it was pretty handy, only cost £8.70 and turns out the guy only lives 5 minutes away.

-15 degree mobius mount (will use Poron and stick it to the ZMR250)
-10 degree HS1177 FPV camera mount
- Rear bumper for LED strip

this is incredibly useful :) Thank you! I've just found a 3d printer round the corner from me, so going to be using that soon!
