Muse at Wembley Stadium (16th + 17th)

I've just read on the Wembley home page that there are no car parking facilities, is this really the case??? I drove and parked there when going to Wembley Arena a few months ago and parked on the stadium grounds, and there is almost no chance that I'm going to use public transport (it's bad enough using it every day getting into London but 70,000 people trying to use it straight after a concert!).

I am in no rush to get home, we will get back eventually..surely Wembley Stadium have factored this in with the public transport people.

If everyone is thinking like you I would rather be waiting ages for a tube, than stuck in a queue trying to get a parking space.

I get on at N Greenwich anyway so fingers crossed we will be able to get there ok.

yea Im coming from the east so I will be driving to red bridge or proberly cockfosters and taking the piccadilly line in and swap onto the metro line at kings cross

The car park was packed last weekend but I'm not sure if that was just for staff. Public transport is a good alternative because the roads are mayhem when leaving.

I am going on the sunday. Any ideas about parking?
Well according to Wembley there are no parking spaces, and parking around the stadium area will get you a fine from Brent council. I'd advise public transport or giving it a miss (which is what I might do :().

Just got back from the gig - awesome stuff - although it didn't seem as packed as I thought it would be - there were plenty of empty seats - still a brilliant experience

Got some ace videos / pictures ... we were seated up near block 525 so had a side on view but it was good enough :D

block 104 was good enough for me - not at the side, not at the back lower tier almost perfect :p

fantastic performance, first muse gig i've been to was a shame we were in a hurry to get back!!!! had to leave after plug in baby :(

I work literally a stones throw from the stadium and live about 30 mins away by bus so it was perfect for me - shame you had to leave as the encores were pretty sweet !

Quite funny how the antennas to the left of the stage were playing up on and off and then the far left one finally blew but kept moving about (saw sparks come flying out the back :o)

Tis the first time i've seen Muse too and what a gig it was - sooo glad I went, as I wasn't feeling to hot due to drinks after work on friday ;)

What an awesome gig and an awesome venue.

I missed the first band as I was still in the pub at Swiss Cottage, Dirty Pretty things were ok, I had seen them at the Barrowlands in Glasgow before and I think that they are far more suited to a smaller more packed venue.

The Streets were really good. Eventhough I have their first 2 albums, I wasn't expecting them to be good live.

Muse were amazing. I didn't know that the lead singer could play the piano as well as that! For Muse I started out quite far back on the lefthand side of the pitch but by the start of the first encore I was right in the middle of the mosh pit down at the front.

I pulled a sly trick for getting the tube. I decided to leave the other 60000 people all getting the tube south from wembley and I hopped on a North bound train, got off at the next stop and got the south bound Metropolitan line from there. It was fell funny pulling up into Wembley again with hundreds of people waiting to burst on the train. Got some right funny looks from the first people to come on when they saw the pitch access band round my wrist and wondered where I had come from!!!

Pics!!!

Which gig were you at in the Blackened Sky days? I've seen them too many times now, heh.

I saw them at King Tut's in Glasgow and The Arches in glasgow. They always used to play Hope for an Angel back then too. One of my favourite songs.

Just got home. <3

2m from the front of the second barrier. ;) And gasp..first support act were amazing. Dirty Pretty Things were boring and The Streets were just annoying and seemed obsessed with Radio Ga-Ga and trying Muse's songs, grr.

Muse, as expected, were simply awesome. It helped my friend was telling me random facts about them too. :o
