I saw them on Thursday and it was a very good show. I had a good mosh and just about survived. I think they picked a very good selection of songs from the new material and played plenty of classics too.
However, I made the terrible mistake of looking at reviews on the official muse message board, my self declared 'worst website on the internet'. People were complaining about the set list and calling it dull and predictable. Muse are a stadium band now, many of the people there will not have all of their albums and many more will simply be more familiar with their new material - they have to play for everyone, not just 'die hard' (read as 'sad, pathetic and childish') fans who say their night was ruined with the lack of MK Ultra or the addition of Feeling Good. It's as if they have nothing more exciting to do than read every setlist as they happen and moan about them.
And don't even get me started on the whole 'rock for clever people' phrase either. I really hate those Muse websites and the morons that post on them.
