His is an IL Motorsport one too, as thats what the mx5parts named bits are usually. Just like their exhaust is. And yes he is a noob and fitted it upside down. :p I have a cheapo copy of it on mine, does the job and saved me about £15.

You want to fit it this way round except also fit the bolts facing upwards. You will probably need the clearance with the P5 shocks.

Smaller ground clearance. Or just cut them down, I am running much lower than him though so I have to worry about that more.

Where did you get that Aerial? MX5parts are out of stock :p

Silenced decat for me tomorrow........

Tried to fit it myself today but the bolts wont budge, so im going to take it to a garage to fit it :(

I have one sitting in the garage doing nothing, it was on my car about a week total. When combined with the stainless exhaust they sell it sounded horrible. Really loud and not a nice noise either, very boomy like you said. With the stock exhaust the difference wasn't very much at all though.

Put the cat back on and it changed back to a nice raspy noise :)

So IMO don't bother with it.
 
I'm looking into the MX%Parts exhaust so yeah I'll take that into consideration :) Did the cat make a positive difference at all other than noise?
 
Well I have a stock exhaust, I dont really want it for noise.

The main reason for me buying it is that the cat that it fitted has broken down and makes my car sound like a banger at low revs :p

Howard, I will do the before and after sound clips, they will be done on my mobile though so wont be great :o

Hard to compare when I hated the noise so much :o

It felt like it gave me slightly better throttle response, but there wasn't an earth shattering improvement and definitely nowhere near enough to put up with sounding like a chav.

It's definitely the tone of the sound it changes most, so the stock exhaust only sounds slightly different because it's so quiet to start with.

The rest of the MX5Parts Exhaust (actually made my IL Motorsport) is fantastic though.

Funny thing happened actually, when the guy removed my Cat, he offered it back to me, so he shuffled it along the floor as it was extremely hot.

When I went to pay for the fitting, i asked the lady if i could have some water to cool my Cat as its really hot. She then offered me a bowl as it would be better than a cup, she then comes out with a dog bowl and im thinking wtf....
anyway i proceed to go back outside and pour this over the rediculously hot cat.

Upon returning the empty bowl to her, she asks, "did the cat drink any of it?"

The second cheaper one is the one generally meant.

It's made by IL Motorsport as well but they don't advertise that fact.

Shame you didn't go to buy a week or 2 ago, it was on offer for £140! It's really worth subscribing to the MX5Parts weekly offer email.
