A properly built MX5 Turbo with forged pistons and rods, more turbo friendly cams and say a GT28R turbo could comfortably run 250hp and be *miles* faster than an S2000.
S2000, no question for me.
What if we add a turbo or a super charger to the S2000?

Also a turbo/sc kit for an S2000 is going to be considerably more than the cost of adding a turbo to an MX5.
My S2000 has 200hp/ton, anyway you get an electric roof, Torsen LSD and funky digi dash with the S2000![]()

Depends on the power yielded by the turbo conversion.
S2000 has a power to weight of 186hp/tonne.
A stock engined turbo MX5 putting out 200hp(pretty normal for a basic turbo conversion) would have a power to weight of ~200hp/tonne, and therefore be faster. Not massively faster but faster.
