Does seem to be busy, friend getting an ecu from him and taking a long time! Hopefully we'll receive it soon...
 
My brother in law's 10AE, and my NB Sport with new dayglo wheels at our work. Everybody knows to leave those two spaces for us. It's quite sad tbh :)

Not in too much of a rush, not going to have the funds to order till then end of next month and I won't be ordering my manifold/downpipe/turbo etc till the end of July at the earliest depending how much overtime I can cram in and how much bonus I manage to earn.
 
A bit of a long shot but.....

I'm part of a Facebook group for MX5 owners in the North East. They've managed to negotiate a full day at Teeside Autodrome for £55 per car (MX5s only at the moment) for an open pit lane trackday.

However as of today there are not enough people who have paid up to put the deposit down and they need to get the money by the 28th May.

The actual trackday is 27th July.

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll give you the contact details, or search Facebook for "NE5's ~ MX5 North East England" (i know the apostrophe shouldn't be there....) and request to join the group.
 
I got my MS2 basic from Reverant. Took 50 days from payment with ups next business day to receive it with not much communication in between. He did respond when I was having troubles getting it working (my fault). The instructions were clear and the base map worked fine na and boosted.

I'd get another from him but wouldn't expect it through quickly.
 
I picked up a mk2 last week and have 2 gripes, 1. no headrests! does anyone know where I can pick a pair up? i've been scowering the interwebs for days.. 2. the god awful door speakers. Any recommendations for replacements? Thanks :D

Look for someone breaking a 2.5 Sport? My seats are fine for me at 6" with their integrated headrests and I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound I get from the (I assumed) standard sound system.

Will post pics of mine when I get a chance to clean it properly. 2001 Y Black NB Jasper Conran Edition. As if the hairdresser jokes weren't bad enough already! Paid just under £2k with only 69k on the clock. It's been very well looked after, just had the cam belt done before I bought it, along with a new stainless exhaust, makes a good noise but not rude at all. The underside was sealed back a long time ago. I've had a really good poke around and the only real corrosion I can find is a tiny bit at the very back of the sill in the wheel arch, so that has been vactan'd already. I may try and dinitrol it properly over the summer.

I had the option of a hard top, but turned it down as I have nowhere to store it and to be honest, why would anyone have one? The whole point is convertible! The heater is very efficient and the roof doesn't leak (yet!)

Only fly(s) in the ointment are that it's black, so really needs a good paint correction as it shows swirl marks very easily and obviously and it's developed the hot-start issue in the last week or so. I think this is the MAF from what I can tell? The coil packs and HT leads were replaced at some point (I have the receipt) so I hope it's not that already. It's fairly intermittent, so if it gets worse, I will investigate further.

So far all I've done is fit my old sub behind the driver seat and have fun. It is, in fact, the most fun I've had since my Mk1 MR2 and I think I've driven it with the top up twice since I got it!

Got my black Mk2 hard top, with heated rear window, brand new touch up kit and proper hard top cover company cover bag on Ebay :(.

I much prefer the car with the hard top, but I have nowhere to store it other than on my spare bed, making the room useless.
 
Ordered an Innovate LC-2 and some RX8 yellows for mine. I need the my overtime + bonus payment next month then I'm all set to order an MS2 :D
 
Does anybody have a good list of which NB special editions came with the 6 speed and the LSD?

I've found a few sites that list the options but none seem to back up random internet posts of "oh yeah Icon has an LSD" and so forth.

I'm looking at 2004 Sports at the moment as they're the obvious top spec ones. Part of me is thinking just find a nice example of any spec and worry later!

Seems not many other than the Sport family again received the six speed box too. But is it really a big deal?

I wouldn't really say so, its a very slightly shorter ratio box, with 6th being a little longer than 5th in a 5 speed box. They are however quite a bit stronger if you we're to go silly power FI

G19. Sturovo or something else for manifold?

Bought the turbo, manifold and downpipe from someone who never got round to fitting it. The lad said it was a Sturovo but can't be sure.

I went for an xtd stage 3 1.8 clutch getting a flywheel from junkyard dog and using OEM bearings. Not the best option but it's cheap and should hold the power and take some abuse. Been trying to keep costs down as its all been done diy so far. If my clutch wasn't about dead already I think I'd save for a FM happy meal kit.
