My 9800X3D Jonsbo D41 build

idles at 28W
that is an artifact of measuring SOC power I think.
iGPU idle vs off actual power use is so tiny its hard to measure. Would guess at below 4W. But it gets added with SOC for reporting. And maybe includes VRM power loss too?
CPU use, increased startup time and memory use of Adrenalin running on top might be more of a concern than idle igpu use.

With all the possible implications, it is just not worth it, I’ll just run the HDMI outside.

Kind of disappointing as the motherboard has a dead feature.

Nice. My 2K monitor isn't small but that's like two of mine side by side. There's 'wide screen' and then there's 5K WIDE screen!
"DQHD" Come on, now you're just making it up as you go along!

Can’t wait to finish work to install it

I had 2 27 inches on a monitor arm, was a hassle to level them straight all the time

I was very disappointed with the AF III. Tried about 5 units, 360 and 420. Pump is very loud. Decide to go with the EKWB Nucleus (despite the disgusting late behaviour of the company), and at 100% is dead quiet. Performing better too. Fans are just average, but don’t need more than 30% to tame the 7800x3D. May replace with Silent wings 4 later to match the rest of the fans. Had to drop the T30s as I wanted 140mm front fans (North XL) and can’t entertain the idea of mismatched fans.
I have no problem with mine, the pump is tamed by 20-30% PWM.

I do actually like Arctic P12 fans, I have used NF-F12s for the last 8 years and they are comparable.

I'll see your two 27's on an arm and raise you a 27 and two 24's with different aspects (1920x1080 and 1920x1200) on one arm...round a corner....with the post leaning at a slightly alarming angle! Good job I can't see the alarming post because of the 27" in front of it :D

Distancing the fans from the bottom of the case also help a lot for noise
Hadn't spotted that. It may well mean that those fans are recirculating air within the case rather than pull fresh (cooler) air in from outside. Won't be 100% recirc, it'll depend on the resistance through the grill Vs pulling the air from inside the case via the rad shell but it wouldn't shock me if it was 70:30. May make not massive difference to temps but if they're suddenly higher than you're expecting, this could be why.

Would probably help but I guess the only way you'd know for sure is to make some smoke and see where it goes - something like this:
...but that's probably massively overthinking it (I have form :D ) and ultimately what's going to matter is his temps and how loud it is.
