My beautiful doggie died today..

So sorry to hear that :( When my childhood dog died 5 years ago it was possibly the hardest thing I'd ever gone through, like losing my best friend. I still have no trouble crying my eyes out now when I think about him. Getting a new dog is a great remedy, but my advice would be to wait a little bit and give yourself time to grieve before you do.
We got our current dog only 2 weeks after he died, thinking we'd get over the loss quicker. Unfortunately I ended up resenting the new dog and even wanting rid of him because it felt wrong to replace our old dog so soon. Obviously I got over that and I couldn't part with him now, but I'd still say waiting a while is the best thing :)

RIP Tyler :(

sorry to hear that :( RIP Tyler

We lost both our cats this year within months of each other. I still look in my parents room as i'm passing, thinking i'll see them on the bed :( force of habit i guess.

I miss my boys :(

Sorry to hear about Tyler. :( RIP

I still (occasionally) miss the dog we had when we were growing up. You never forget, but in time, the memories of the good times you shared always shine through the pain of the loss.

My sympathies. I lost my childhood pet cat 8 years ago and it still hurts when I think about it. We took in my bro's gf's second kitten a few days later as she was finding two too much to handle.

RIP Tyler.

We've always had dogs around us and I know how painful this is for you. They say time is a great healer, but bringing another dog into the family is the answer, always has been for us, and lessens the sense of loss. I hate the phrase replacement, you can never replace a member of a family, essentially what pet dogs become.

sorry to hear that. We lost our king charles last february as his heart was giving up on him so had to put him down. The problem with this breed is that the blood lines are all wrong causing most to have ill health. My dog suffered from exma (how do you spell this?) from an early age, was on steroids most his life, going blind, ear problems and obviously his heart, god knows how he lived for 9 years. Im still not over losing my dog so i feel your pain.

Sorry to hear that. It's always terrible when these things happen, you just have to remember the great times and know that he enjoyed it as much as you did.
