Now that i DOOOOOO like! i like that a lot. Very simple but clean and pretty.

Nice job with cable management.

the advantage of making one loop then the other meant I could put it back together the second time more carefully when I knew what wires I had to deal with, it didnt look like this first time:p

need to clock the 5970 now, but the system is noisier than I hoped, tried setting the fans to silent but the temps now the case is under my desk are getting a bit high, maybe a fan controller is simplest ?
also need to sort ssd times

I'm confused. I've just realised that your Drive Bay res supports 2 pumps. Why Dont you use both pumps in that res so you Dont need to have the pump mounted under the GPU.

Holy sheet, you drilled the mesh yourself , brafreakingvo bro :D, really well done, looks spot on.
very weird !
compared to your build a few holes is nothing !
I went to bed dreaming about how to make a case from scratch using mesh and there you are in the morning !, my thought were started by looking at the LV3000..
the idea of using some heat fins from under floor heating to have the exterior of the case as a giant rad, but I am on the other side of the time / work scale

:)

I saved £ 5 and only ordered the res with mounts for one pump, a couple of days before I decided to add the second loop, I was too eager to start :o

the build log was in a seperate thread, excuse my newbness and I will stick on the end of this one so its all in one place ....

Well hardly anything from my original picking list made it.
Trying to decide on which ASUS mobo and I saw the Rampage and was powerless to resist.
The red and black led onto Corsair Dominator RAM and the search for an older Corsair HX620 with a red label.
It took 5 different suppliers to get everything here within 3 days.

I have looked at lots of builds here and know there will be lots of tweaks, so I decided to get a basic loop running and see how it goes.

The reason/ justification for the build is to show my son ( who has just started his GCSE IT ) whats inside the boxes he loves so much ...

But that means I have to wait for him to get home from school before I can start...

the loop went in pretty easy for a first timer, but a couple of things I need to sort ;

P1010871.jpg

the pipe work is kind of saggy. Will some anti coil keep it in position ?

P1010878.jpg

the writing on the cpu block is upside down, not sure what to do about that ?

P1010879.jpg

but i am very happy with the match of the xspc front and the blu ray player

I didnt want to have to try to match the brushed aluminium with the dvd door.

its time to fire it up and test it now...

just waiting for some braided cables and stage 1 is complete,
ordered another 360 rad for the base, it will be interesting to see how that goes.
I am hoping it will mean I can remove the 3 corsair stock 140mm fans.
very happy with the Rampage mobo~ oc via a netbook
