Just noticed the rears have totally different tread patterns! Wonder if that had something to do with it.

I have mismatched tyres, give it some around the local bends every day and haven't managed that yet, impressive! Some of those are pretty greasy too.

Saying that, a chap on here had a rather bad crash in his Type R on an OcUK meet, nonetheless. Seemed to be similar conditions (wet road with some gentle corners).

I bet you're only saying the speed part because it's a public forum...

I'd wager the tyres were cheap brands and mismatched, combined with perhaps iffy geo caused this. Sorry to read this OP.

Exactly, if it was the road as the OP seems to insinuate, there would have been many more people flying off as well.

Perhaps something in the suspension just failed causing this?

Mismatched tyres didn't do this methinks. The road in question does get very slippery but I suspect the OP was somewhere north of 50mph

Damn, looks like i wasted money having matching PS3's all round on my Octy VRS then. I will know next time i can save myself some cash!
