My first accident...

I have mismatched tyres, give it some around the local bends every day and haven't managed that yet, impressive! Some of those are pretty greasy too.

Saying that, a chap on here had a rather bad crash in his Type R on an OcUK meet, nonetheless. Seemed to be similar conditions (wet road with some gentle corners).

I bet you're only saying the speed part because it's a public forum... :p

Exactly, if it was the road as the OP seems to insinuate, there would have been many more people flying off as well.

Perhaps something in the suspension just failed causing this?

Darryn was driving like a tit and he admitted that :p

£50 a corner m8 and the lads over at CTROC say they're like **** to a blanket.

Sorry to hear about your crash. You live and you learn, chalk it up to experience :)

It wont be the tyres, you don't need good tyres unless you are a racing driver. The cheapest ones are fine, and matching them is a waste of time.

type-R with modifications just loses traction on an urban motorway at 50mph? There was either something seriously wrong with this car or I'm a bit dubious ;)

That's a relief, I'll go for those Linglongs that are on offer then!

Mismatched tyres didn't do this methinks. The road in question does get very slippery but I suspect the OP was somewhere north of 50mph :)

Glad you're ok though
