The OP has yet to state what country he is in. Thus far he stated Northern Europe. He probably has been illegally evicted, but we can't say for certain.
Certainly can't state anything with reference to criminality.

Well if it's England or Wales then yes it's illegal eviction and a criminal offence as the LL hasn't got a possession order
