My latest system tweaks:)

Is this with the cpu @ 4.2ghz?

I am really tempted to change to SB, sell my AMD or Intel system :(

(

that was at 3.3GHZ.

At 4.6GHZ I get,

The temp was going up and down by around 1 C or so, so leaving prime running longer wouldnt change much.

Nice work Stulid, I was going to post some readings from my Asus P8Z68 for comparison. But.... Um... If u turn OC tuner on in the BIOS the PC goes into a reboot loop. And um.. Enable Lucid and... It blue screens.
This thing really needs a BIOS update asap.

I was wondering how much faster your system is going from the Phenom II X4 955 to the i5 after doing the overclocking? I'm doing the same now (Going from a Phenom II X4 940) but my i5 won't be here until Monday :(.

Well its definitely faster, thats without question, playing games is like fitting a better GPU, the faster CPU has unleashed the full potential of the SLI setup.

unfortunately I didnt take any notes of the Phenoms performance, it was running at stock all its life anyways, so I dont have anything to directly compare and show you the difference.

Really nice setup mate. You've tempted me in changing my Phenom II X6 (1050t) and move over to Intel.

I run my system on stock so I don't really know if I would get much of a gain going over to the 2500k but due to your thread I've got the urge to upgrade :)

The Corsair H60/70/80/Antec Kuhler thing has crossed my mind a few times and is still lurking in the back of my mind, but a full custom watercooling kit isnt something that interests me despite the case being huge.

The Kuhler is a great piece of kit m8 in my book, I have the 920 version on my i7 930 @ 4GHz. Temps at idle are about 40 degrees and under load never go higher than 55 degrees.
