My Log Burner...

I love wood burners! Not got one in present house yet though.

My chimney had a flue so i gave it some lemsip! lol

They're really good, those fans.

I borrowed one for a week last year - made a big difference, so will get one for this winter. They can be had for as cheap as £50 or so, but suspect you need to go to around £100 for a quality example.

Yeah i am seeing them at £50 on ebay BIN.

Seems a good place to start? They are only basic devices.

I wanted one of these installing in the house me and my fiancé are purchasing but she doesn't like fire :/

I might show her some of the pics on here as they do look amazing.

How much is fuel for these if you need to buy it?

She doesnt like...fire? :p

They burn a huge amount of wood, you wont want to be buying it. I burn pallets generally which i collect from the local industrial estate in town.

Costs me around £80 a month in logs (that's one 1-tonne builders' sack full). That's with my wife home most days burning through the stuff. And only in the winter months, of course.

yeah, find a ecofan one by far the best fans out there, i think they still do the original but the 810 is better one

Not liking open flames to the point where she doesn't want a gas hob?

Do i really need to? That is seriously weird :p

Nothing, but to not have gas due to being scared of an open flame is the point :p

Trust me, i am in no way worried about the mental state of someone whom i do not know :) Don't get all huffy about me saying it, i am only joking, but you must agree it is a bit of an odd one.

Whats wrong with a ceramic hob?

I wouldn't get to worried about it if I was you

It's not the effect that's a major problem (though ceramic hobs are terrible), but not liking flames such that you won't have a gas hob...... I'd agree with Jez - that really is weird.

It's not a big deal of course (except I hate cooking on ceramics :) ), but it's undoubtedly odd.

Sorry I thought you was being a clown like some people are on here usually.

I am just used to it tbh so don't find it weird.

Might get one of the log burners one day.

First light of the year:)
