Wow, i have just stumbled across this thread, and have just read it from start to finish.
Unfortunatly i have no help to offer you for the troubles you are having, but wish you good luck.
The only advise i can offer is to ignore the trolls in this post, i mean dont even acknowledge them and certianly do NOT answer them!
You DO NOT have to 'justify' to us what you spend your money on, i wish i had that amount of disposible income to spend on my rig, because i would if i could
I like you have built systems and 'learnt' how to put them together in the process through google search's and by posting of these very forums, we ALL had to start/learn some where/time.

Anyway, as Turbo is in completely over his head and has made a total ****-up of the entire build, and i don't want this thread to deteriorate any further, and i want him to get help he needs, and because i'd rather not get embroiled in petty personal arguments - i 'll leave this thread alone.
Suffice to say, i'm not and never was jealous of him wasting 2.5k on a completely unneccesary rig so he could wave his e-peen about, there's nothing admirable in running round like a loon throwing money away and then hitting problems (case) because you couldn't be botherd to research properly. And because you can't wait to get your build together (one look at that photo of his lounge carpet tells the story of what happened here, it looked like Christmas, stuff scattered everywhere) etc
This thread should be stickied as the classic example of how NOT to plan, buy, and build a rig. A total mess fom start to finish.
Anyway duck good luck.

This has to be the most bizarre thread I have read on this forum.
First the flaming for the OP wanting to spend a lot of money. Then the mishaps and changing of cases, the blue screens, the guy who posts every 2 minutes asking how turboduck is getting on. The dude with the helpful insults. The guy who agrees the OP is on an epeening session, pops in a few insults of his own, then turns good and potentially solves the problem; and still the thread remains open! What drama lol!
To be honest I can't see how this rig is being that adventurous, yeah it's all high end hardware but for people to come on and say "don't be suprised it doesn't work" is just plain dumb really. The guys at OCUK build rigs like this all the time, he has just been unlucky with a few things.
Hope you get it sorted out in the end turbo and don't forget the pics and benchies when you do (if you dare to post them and flamed again!)

however, I'm hoping that turboduck can revive the economy with his next purchase
surely this forum and it's entire ethos is towards getting the biggest and best machine possible, although often by trickey as well as spending power.
my only comment was that personally if I didn't know how to build a rig like this I would have ordered the parts from OCUK and then got them to build and test it. however, sometimes the building and testing of a kit is half the fun
