Sorry for resurrecting old posts.

Im having trouble connecting my pc to my Samsung via VGA.

I can see the pc loading up, but when the actual widows screen appears it says "Mode Not Supported".

It does work via HDMI but the quality is not good.

I need help, How do you connect the PC via VGA? Is it supposed to configure itself?
 
Well, i just used a standard VGA cable to connect the two together, booted up the PC and set the resolution to 1360x768. Job done.

Suggestion. Get Windows booted back up as it was with your old screen, lower the resolution to something like 800x600. Shut down. Reconnect new LCD. Boot up. That should do it (obviously adjust the resolution again). I'm thinking maybe you were using an unsupported resolution on your old screen and the new one cant handle it.

Let me know how you get on.

A resolution that looks right? Use the optimal one as i posted above. That's the correct ratio etc. Presuming you have the same screen as me...? :)

Ive got it to the same as you.

But I though it still looked 'big' if you know what I mean, but the quality is perfect so really happy.

I have the le26r41bdx, its the same as 32" except the size, and the resoloutions will be the same anyway.

Playing Unreal Tournament 2004 on it just now, looks amazing.

If I can find my camera il take a few shots and post them up.

Do you have HL2? That supports widescreen and that rez and really looks great. BF2 is fantastic as well, very immersive.

I know what you mean by 'big', thought that myself when i first set it up...you'll soon adjust to it and realise how bloody great the screen is.

I ordered the 26" one today and it's coming on friday! Can't wait :D The place I ordered from still has about 20 in stock! I ordered the non-freeview model because I already have a freeview box.
 
urgh arggh just seen this thread and as im in the market for a new monitor as i sold my 19"tft was looking at a dell 2005/2405 but am worried id need a new gfx card as well which i carnt afford and dont want to change etc,etc this looks like a very worthy alternative some of the pics look fantastic :)
off to do some price finding me thinks......
