My Official £50-£46,000 betting challenge

alright ill try the suggestion of 1.03 i have seen in this thread
Give it a go if you think you can do it, just dont get too fixed on the odds.

That was the mistake i made the first time round, i was too focused on finding bets with low odds and didnt think enough about what i was actually betting on. Ended up losing it all on a silly bet.

I have now started again and i'm doing much better. Carefully considering the bets, but not caring too much about the odds. I put in £20 and withdrew it a few days later, so i'm now playing purely on winnings. Currently at £40 (was at £55 last night tho :()

Ok thats whats i was thinking of doing, playing on (if any) winnings, £10 a good start or just £5 to get the hang of it?

I think it does but they also do a referral scheme where you (and your referrer) get £25 i think.

To be honest i started with £20 and i think i'd recommend it. Its very easy to get to grips with and if you're only making 2% or 3% at a time then with £5 you're only making 10p and it'd take ages to build up a decent pot.

My best advice however is that when you start getting to a fairly high pot then to split your bets rather than always punting the full balance as it gets very nervy when you're putting £480 on a single bet!

Read the whole thread... finally!!!

Started on this today...

Deposited 15 euro (least possible)

Was watching CSKA Moscow vs Real Madrid for the Champions League and it was the 92nd minute... so I decided to bet everything on 'No Goal' for next goal... 1 minute later CSKA scored to make it 1-1... Needless to say I almost died from laughter!!!!

I check the site 10 mins later... and I see all my money is still in my account... the bet did not go through as it was not matched!!!! That was pure luck!!

I bet on some other matches and I'm up 5.51 euros for the night!!!

Will continue betting till I lose it all... just for fun :)

Celtic V Dumferline tonight, coral odds on draw no bet is 1.02. Pretty much a dead cert seeing as odds for Dumferline winning are 17.00 and if something odd happens and they draw it's draw no bet so you get your money back anyway.

After seeing this thread i logged into coral to see i have £14 in my account that's just been sitting there for years(?) so I've put it all on that bet. I will be a millionaire before i'm dead hopefully!

Having read through this thread recently i have also given it a bash today. Have put on 5 bets and am now 26% up on my original £10 i put on.

As others have pointed out, this is just a bit of fun, slow and steady and all that!

EDIT:

What strategies are people emplying? Taking football for an example, what stage of a game would you most likely place a bet?

I tend to see the shape of the game and bet accordinly. If a teams 3-0 up then i'll bet on them winning. If its like the 1st half of the Chelsea Napoli game last night i'll bet on another goal.

I often also put bets on in the 92nd minute etc as mentioned above but this often leads to it backfiring as the number of last minute goals is much higher than you expect!

i used to wait until around the 80th minute and look for teams atleast 2 goals up, a lot of games like that had 1.03 odds still, even the 3-0 ones did

bet for X team to win btw

my experience of goals over X.5 or under X.5 was pretty bad its far to risky for the odds you get

Having a go at this now. Dialling down my risk as my balance increases. Started today on £10 and made £3 on Chelsea winning, stuck it all on Man City to win. Later ill move to only betting on people who are goals up already.

Coming close to the magic 1k now :)

Although i have taken out £300 so i suppose technically i've already done it

How long have you been doing this for?

Sounds like you are doing very well indeed, you going to take the money out and start at £10 again or keep going and potentially lose 1k?
