Couldn't wait till Tuesday
I wont be making it as fancy as Diggsy's build as he has decided NOT to braid my wires :(. But i'll do my best to make it look as neat as possible.

i could do i suppose. don't like the idea of having the stock fan on the setup though. Suppose it's only for 4 days.

Maybe whilst the GF goes to work in the morning i'll set it up.

just having a read on Asus site and it seems i will need a bios update to be able to run the new D0 stepping chip.

If my board has the old bios should i flash it straight away before booting into windows?

what is recomended in this instance

back from easter guys. got some rough pics to show you as soon as photobucket loads them up.

i've not played with cable management as i've a new cooler and fans arriving tuesday.

tbh i'm not totally happy with it because i've not sorted anything out properly.

Got two Xigmatek fans arriving and a TRUE Black on Tuesday so will get them fitted and everything looking better hopefully.

i've removed and installed a floppy no trouble. the door actually opens fully (with gental force) when it's required.

My camera doesn't do it justice so will take better pics tomorrow when new TRUE arrives.

Ah thanks for that, those temps are amazing for that OC especially on stock cooling. I'm waiting to see what they're like with that Noctua, should be great.

So what fan are you gonna put in the bay... the old rear exhaust? I'm interested as I've seen others putting bays and a fan in and wondered how they affected the airflow and temps etc as I suspect that I'm gonna go down that route too.

in fairness to the KAMA the fan inside is pumping a decent amount of air into the case. Maybe not as much as a Noctua fan or Xigmatek would but i'll see how it goes before changing it. One possability though as you've said is to replace the fan with the old exhaust fan once i replace it with the Xigmatek.

I just hope it all arrives today so i can bench it all tonight and get it prime stable

Looking good magic. Your temps are amazing too, looking forward to seeing what its like with the TRUE, will you be pushing it further? 4.2 is already very good.

cheers mr_x_plosion.
The TRUE has arrived at home i've been informed (by the GF) so hopefully the fans will arrive today too.
Once they're fitted i shall indeed try for more.

grrrrrrrr my fans haven't arrived today.

I've got a spare 120mm fan at home which i shall use in the short term (it runs around 30db ) until the Xigmateks arrive. So tonight i shall sit in front of the TV with a beer, cable ties and cable tie base pads and hopefully get it looking pretty cool.

Then at least i can clock the cpu and get it stable.

cheers guys. i'll take a picture of the ugly side at some point tonight. I will say if you can get the modular do so as it was a real pain finding room for all the leads etc

will also update once the new fans arrive. i'm thinking i'll maybe put two on the TRUE for a pushpull motion as my temps on prime were. 88, 85, 85, 81 with a TJmax of 95.

yeah i was thinking of doing that last night whilst the mobo was out. I think i'm going to invest in a Noctua for the Kama after all. try and push more air into the case directly at the TRUE.

I think the Xigmatek fans will finish it off a treat once they're installed.

I wonder if the cooling would be better or worse if you added the kama bay then changed to top fan to an exhaust, then you would have the same in and out. Theres an experiment for you magic ;)

Hmmmmmmm now that's an idea?!
i suppose it would even out the Positive air pressure within the system.

edit: apparently not according to this?!

That's looking verrrrrry nice indeed Magic! You've done a good job of that cabling - I'm well impressed (and ever so slightly jealous too)

I think that's also sealed the fate of my Antec 300! Fortress here I come!

Congrats Magic :D

Cheers Fella.

my fingers were killing after messing with wires on Tuesday evening.
I sat watching the Liverpool/Chelsea game whilst doing it to aleviate the bordem

cheers guys

i've never spent above £35 on a case before but my god i'm glad i did.

Can't compare to anything else in this price range or quality but i'm dead chuffed with how it turned out.

Just need new fans to finish it off. Apaprently they were posted last Wednesday!
hmmmmmmmm

you have no idea how many photos i took to get them even close to being ok. The lighting in our back room is awful. Plus the rubbish Nikon camera with (apparently) stable control still takes blurred pics. :p

I'll try my best to take better ones when i instal new fans.
