N73 users here...

I need a new case because the clip of my crystal case has just broken off, all the little bits that stick to the phone annoy me though so has anyone got any recommendations?

My K750i joystick is really giving me greif and it's time to change or renew my contract very soon.

I've basically decided to get this phone. N95 seems to much money, read nemerous issues and the 5mp camera seems no better that the N73s.
K800i was considered but I want a proper upgrade and like the idea of smart phone that I can play with, with extra apps etc.

Apart from this devilish blue light and the possible slowness can you N73 users tell me anything else I should worry about before I make the plunge?

Also, is the music version anything special? I've heard you update the software to function like the music version
thanks :)

Ive just flashed my n73 vanilla to the music edition, cant say I would pay the extra pennies for the music edition version If I had the choice.
Theres nothing rather exeptional over the vanilla version that would make me fork out £XX for it.

What are people's battery life on these phones? I'm finding i can only just managed 3 days if that...

What's wrong with 3 days? Are you away from the charger for all that length of time, all the time?

Nothing is wrong with two or three days. However it was just a question.

The way you phrased it suggested that it was a short amount of time. 3 days is very good with heavy use... I find the battery to be amazing. It barely budges even after long blasts of MP3's or movies.

I was simply asking if it was the normal amount of time for a battery to go flat. I am impressed by the battery, I was on messanger and web at same time for 3 hours and it didnt move..again, I was trying to get a general answer to see what other people were/are getting from these phones. ;)

Im finding the battery to be a bit poor on my phone, not sure if Ive got the settings sorted on it as I havnt really played around with it. I have the sleep mode on now.

Even on standby just making a couple of phones calls and browsing mobile web for a couple of minutes, it doesnt make it till 2 days. I would say about 35 hours if that.

Another problem with my N73 is, I get sim card errors.

The phone could be on, I could go to make a txt message or just even look at the time and I would have a 'Sim Card Error' message displayed on the screen. I then have to take the battery out, sim card out the put them back in for the phone to turn back on and go back to normal.

Sometimes even when Ive just had a txt message, I will be half way through replying to it and get the error message. Other error messages I get are, 'Sim Card Not Registered' and 'Sim Card Not Found'. It really annoys me that I cant really see no reason why it should be doing it.

Does the firmware need updating?

Just recently got the N73 on Orange.

It's black, which is pretty nice (not like the pic on the orange site though).. but no memory card (which is a big pain, but oh well).

Where do you people get them apps from? Are they free download?

Oh, and anyone got any idea if you get charged for packet data? I didn't even notice there was an active connection for the first 2 days, and now i've managed to turn it off.. just don't fancy a hefty bill for something that was seemingly enabled by default (even after flashing to latest firmware) :(

@ bennah.. if you're getting a variety of sim error messages then i'd say the sim card is borked?

Im not sure if its the phone itself or the sim card, I dont have general problems with sim card, Im thinking it could be the firmware not being the latest. Im not really sure.

When I get home I will update the firmware and see how I go. If it continues then its a trip to the o2 shop for me.

Well I got a lump of chicken tika thrown at me last night in the curry house lol so decided to do a drunken wash at 1am.

The N73 aint lookin to fresh after a 60 degree cycle and I've got no insurance so it looks like it's game over for me. :p

Second time I've done this and I still haven't learned to not save all my numbers on the phone memory. Stains are still there too.:p

Funnily enough my D900 took a quickwash the other day, that's what pushed me to upgrade !

It seems ok, just stuck on constant-vibrate... oooOOOo matron!

Use the USB connector, plug it into your PC and install the Nokia PC Suite and you should be able to transfer it that way...

Although, when I tried it, it didn't work :(

I tried that..I could not see a copy function...

Hi there again,

My N73 is looking very tired with me using it at work and being in my pocket when working its took a few scraps on corners of the front (silver) cover. There are a few bits of dist that looks like its under the cover and on the phone screen.

Anyway, anyone tried to change the cover on thier N73?

How easy is it to do.

Ive seen some kits around with the whole phone casing front and back in a range of colours plus the buttons and what not.

Would I need some kind of special tool for the job, dont really want to damage the actual phone too much.

Thanks :)

The front cover clips of quite easily. I just held the outside buttons down and gently levered it off with a credit card.

Over a month later the phone now turns on and everything works, except the keypad!

They still sell for a fair amount water damaged on ebay, but I'm worried someone will get it working an read certain texts and go through phone numbers etc. Is there a way to wipe the phone without use of the keypad? :o

Might as well post in here insted of making a new topic seen as this threads so long and related to the phone......

Does anybody know how to arrange photographs in your phone?

I mean.. I have just installed some new voices for my TOMTOM device, and they are assigned a picture..

These pictures show up at the begining of my album, but Ide much rather them be at the back then they are out of the way..

Is there any handy app out there or a way to move them??

Thanks in advance
