Yes, the orange firmware is the worst ever devised, and cripples the phone. Change to 3. :p

I have a orange sim,

Go easy with easy... :D

This is my new phone after 3 yrs,I'm a phone noob :p

I need guidance...lol

the joystick on mine has screwed, hardly responds and a press in the middle makes it move sideways before clicking

annoying

Three really need to get their finger out and show some v4 firmware lovin for their N73s: The current media player is absolutely dire and I've just purchased LCG Jukebox to replace it.

On the other hand, it does support shoutcast MP3 and Ogg streaming so I reckon I'll get my money's worth.

My N73 has finally gone in for repairs.

Had it since November.

Joystick button fell off.
Phone keeps freezing - especially when displaying a missed call! Rahhh!
Generally the whole UI experience is quite aweful imo. Its my first 'smart phone' (oh the irony :) )

Strangely the guys in the O2 shop told me I had to keep hold of the sim card (fair enough), the battery and the phone's battery cover while it was being repaired - why??

Maybe the repair centre loses those parts quite a lot, thats the only reason I can think of! A guy I know sent his phone away and he also kept the same parts as you, his phone was returned with all those parts replaced he now has two batteries, which is quite the bonus!

Right Guys, i need your help and knowledge... :)

I've had a mare with 02, they advised that the 02 graphite will run sat nav. I've tried a couple of versions of tom tom and copilot, nowt will work. The phone isnt supported on the software websites!

I'm sending it back and it's getting replaced with a N73. What do i need to get it working well with sat nav?

Version of software:
Gps receiver:
What type of card does it need? I've just bought a 512mb micro sd for the 02 graphite...
How do you install the software? Total noob here, is it a case of sticking all the files on the card and running it in the phone?

Thanks all

*Update to latest Nokia firmware on nokia website.
*Buy a good bluetooth Sirfstar III GPS receiver, cheaper the better.
*Mini-SD card - I use a 2GB.
*Software is installed from your PC by connecting your phone via USB then running the downloaded satnav app.

What's the best place to buy the gps receiver from? I've just had a quick look on the bay and there is a lot!

What model works best with the n73?

edit: What sort of size is the sat nav application when installed? Will a 512mb card have enough space?

Version of software: Latest firmware available on nokia website :)
Gps receiver: I bought this one off the bay a cupple of weeks ago Link Works like a charm, small and stylish so you can carry around with ease :D
What type of card does it need? 2gb is reccomended, should be fine with 1GB though.

My N73 is right next to my head on my bedside table. The flashing blue light doesn't bother me at all. Simple solution... turn your phone off.

i turn mine face down on the floor and it masks it a treat :p

i got my n73 on orange in november last year, i'm more than happy with it, the best phone i've ever owned. camera is good (though in low light it can be a bit dodge), i surf the web a bit, take loads of pics, syncronise my appointments with work and it manages ok.

i get the odd freeze though, and sometimes it decides to mess about when i try and take a picture, and sometimes claims to run out of memory when i try to play a video i have taken but they are the only problems.

my one question relates to videos. what format does it play? wmv? mpeg? flash? i can't seem to get it to play anything!
