N95 Release

Hmmm another nokia phone that has my interest, the n95 that is. But after my experience with the terrible N80 im not so sure about Nokia and their N series of phones. One of the reasons why i have stuck to SE over the past few yrs, the n80 i had was crashing all the time and just generally sucked at everything i tried to do with it and plus the fact it was bulky didnt appeal to me much.

If nokia have fixed the software issues that were prevalent with their n80 ie crashing etc etc then i just might ditch my p990i for the n95 but think im gonna wait a bit and see what the general consensus of this phone etc.

I hate my N80 with a passion, but I tried the 6233 and didn't like it, tried the k800i and found that the keypad was way too small for some reason. But, I have to say, the N80 is a pile of pants.

And I'm afraid the N95 is going down that road too. It still doesn't have enough free RAM to run smoothly (a spare 15 - 20MB at the most apparently) and the battery life is still ridiculous. So I'm betting here that the N95 still has the same problems as the N80...

Havnt tried out a N80 so I dont really know how they perform. Reading what people say though, the N73 was better hence why I got one.

So the N95 would basically be a updated N80 with a better camera and some more features thats all?

Are the N80 slow? Would you think the N95 would be?

N80 has the same hardware as the N73 in terms of processor speed and available ram, so will be the same. N95 features a faster processor than both, and more ram, so should be faster.

I can't see any memory card in that picture, only the MiniSD adaptor card.
The photo shows a microSD adapter, not a miniSD - so you can deduce that it comes with a microSD card not a miniSD card. Also, I later saw in the review the following :

Contents include:

Nokia Headset HS-45
Audio Adapter AD-43
1GB Micro SD with Adapter
Nokia Battery BL-5F
Nokia Charger AC-5E
Nokia Connectivy Cable DKE-2
Nokia Video Connectivity Cable CA-75U
...and of course the N95!!

Yeah I know it comes with a MicroSD card. You then use a a miniSD adaptor to turn the MicroSD into a MiniSD sized card...

I'm sticking with my 02 contract till this is out, then I'll probaly jump contract, last upgrade Orange wanted £250 for an N70 but 02 would give me it for £50 as a new customer, not much incentive for customer loyalty :)
