Damn, because of the rain delay I had to miss the last 70 laps or so of the nationwide race, good to see that they got racing again and that Bayne turned it into a win for the team.

They raced on Sunday around the same time as Cup. Speaking of NNS, I'm getting bored of the excuses Travis Pastrana fans are making. He's becoming better known for his crashes than success (and sooner or later his previous injuries will catch up with him).

I thought it was the Canadian Grand Prix that I switched off the Nationwide for..

have to agree about Pastrana though, he does seem kinda useless

Anyone else go to Brands for the Euro Nascars the other weekend?

It was an excellent show! The gridwalk with the autograph signing was great fun, and I'll never forget seeing the cars so close together for the rolling start! They sounded ace too!

Also good to see the demo laps by the full spec Nascars and the Superbird replica. :)

Unfortunately not, had to run an errand of mercy (a long story involving a VW flat-four, a **** of a tuner who shall not be named and an overly trusting owner).

Seen the photos and vids though, that Superbird replica looked a bit weird to me - like a Daytona/Superbird cross breed with a hoodscoop.

Sounded good though:

What's it running, stroker Hemi?

So, Biffle took the win in the Cup race at Michigan, moving himself up to 8th in points. 5-time had a tyre problem near the end, meaning his advantage over Edwards dropped to 31 points. Next up is road courses (Sonoma and Road America) :)

Right, thanks to a certain forum member I'm currently watching the end of the Nationwide race without it buffering every six seconds ;) Happy days :D

Congratulations to Allmendinger on his first Nascar win. Hornish was 5th, and Regan Smith had a bad day so the points gap at the top has been closed up considerably.

And Truex Jr. takes it. First win in....hell, more than 200 races? His last victory was in 2007 at Dover.

Keselowski won the Nationwide race at Kentucky (took the lead 7 laps before a red flag for rain). Cup race is about to go green, Earnhardt Jr starts from pole.

Jimmie Johnson becomes the first driver in 30 years to sweep both Daytona races in a season, after a crash-fest of a race. Kenseth took the Nationwide win, continuing the Cup drivers' dominance of that series.

Nascar's stop at Loudon, New Hampshire saw Brian Vickers charge through the Sprint Cup field to take a surprise win. Jimmie Johnson started last and finished 6th, extending his championship points advantage to 56 over Clint Bowyer.

Kyle Busch has now won 50% of the Nationwide races this year after dominating at New Hampshire - despite not participating in some of them. Regan Smith holds a 5-point lead ahead of Sam Hornish Jr going into the next round at Chicagoland Speedway. Austin Dillon is ranked third, and has yet to convert any of his pole positions to race wins.

Joey Logano took the win at Chicagoland Speedway, his second victory in Nationwide competition this year. Sam Hornish was the runner-up and took the points lead from Regan Smith (632 to 625). Austin Dillon is one point further back after his third place finish in the race.
